The room is spacious, fast check-in and check-out. Staff is sincere. It's my favorite hotel to stay in Singkawang. The first choice to choose when I go to Singkawang. It is easy to find food stalls around the hotel too.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Mandarin Inn. It’s an affordable option, especially for larger families, as the room we booked came with two double beds, providing plenty of space and comfort for everyone.
The location is fantastic—just a short distance from Pasar Hong Kong, making it convenient for shopping and dining. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Parking was a breeze as well, thanks to the helpful staff who guided us to ensure everything was smooth.
Overall, it’s a great choice for families looking for comfort, affordability, and convenience. Highly recommended!

The price was affordable for two large beds for four people, and the room was very spacious. However, the hotel itself was a bit dated compared to the photos. The staff was also less than friendly.

As noted by reviews from those who have stayed here, the room facilities and amenities are dated. The towels and bedsheets are in need of replacement, especially since the absorbency is very minimal. The rooms and bathrooms are quite clean. One of the advantages of this accommodation is its proximity to the city center and popular culinary spots in Singkawang. Almost all tourist and culinary destinations are within walking distance.

I've stayed at Grand Mandarin twice when I had business back to Skw... The hotel is okay, the room, bathroom & hotel area are clean, the location is strategic, quite close to the market so it's just a short walk there, potential customers will become regular customers every time they go to Skw 😁

I stayed for three nights and was disappointed.
The room was quite large, close to the city center.
The service was rude (unfriendly), the towels were worn, the AC wasn't cold, the bathroom was dirty, and the room was full of ants. Resting was interrupted by the noisy odong odong (traditional music instrument).
Improve the facilities and cleanliness, and the receptionist should be friendly so guests won't be put off coming back.

Overall, the service, ambiance, size, and location of the hotel were quite comfortable and worth it. However, the bedding is due for a facelift, as I've found several spots and stains on the sheets and pillowcases. The cleaning crew also needs to be equipped with a vacuum cleaner to prevent hair, sand, and other debris from being left on the bed after cleaning.

I asked for an extra bed in this hotel. It turned out that only a mattress, dirty sheets and blankets were provided. Guests must ask for their rooms to be cleaned (before 2 pm) otherwise our rooms will not be cleaned.

For extrabeds, all are standard with thick foam material, different from the mattress used, regarding room service according to our SOP, last service is at 15.00 WIB.
