The hotel management/staff is very kind and honest and very helpful. I left my Samsung Airbuds in the room when I checked out. The management/staff contacted me and kept it until our son picked it up a few days later. I really appreciate the honesty and professionalism of the management/staff. Hopefully Grand Orchid Hotel Solo will be more successful and advance and develop.

In 2002-2003, I used to be a regular guest when I was on business in Solo. Now, if I go to Solo with my family or just transiting, it's become an option to stay overnight.

Overall, it's good. The hotel's location is strategic, making it easy to reach iconic Solo attractions. Some are even within walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, one area where the hotel needs improvement is the limited number of electrical outlets. In my room, there were only two outlets available for charging my phone, and they were not conveniently positioned.
One outlet was under the table, and the other was on the bathroom sink, which could be dangerous if it came into contact with water. Other hotels I've visited typically have outlets next to the bed, making it easier for guests to charge their phones.
