Puri Bagus Candidasa

the only poor part was the wifi was off and on all the time with in the room. had to go out side on porch or near front desk for all the time wifi on computer

Nice quiet surroundings but room interior need repair and maintenance especially the wooden flooring and electrical (not enough power socket for phone charging and other usage)

Fourth trip to Bali, second stay at Puri Bagus. Returned for many reasons. Candidasa is away from the crazy crowds. Beautiful setting. Staff is wonderful. Easy access to activities. My other stays have been at yoga lodges. While they were nice, they were isolated. To visit another restaurant required hiring a driver. At Puri Bagus it’s an easy walk to Candidasa where there are restaurants, shops, ATMs and other services. Grounds are well kept. Patios are a nice place to relax after a day of activities. Rooms are clean, not overly fancy but spacious. Baths could use a little update, but they’re still the cleanest bathrooms I encountered on the island (you will appreciate a clean bathroom as you travel around). Would go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel is located at the end of the village, quiet and a 10 minute walk to other facilities. It has a beautiful and relaxing sea view. Staff are very interested and helpful.

Puri Bagus is a beautiful small resort with wonderful staff and views! The small beach area is not clean, like most beaches in Bali. The property directly in front of the resort is kept clean and maintained. The pool is perfectly positioned to provide great views. The pool and the area around the pool are kept clean and lovely. The flowers and plants on the property are beautiful. The spa is wonderful! 2 massages in a week at the spa....perfection! The town of Candidasa is small, walkable, friendly and provides restaurant and shopping choices.

Very good! I would recommend and go back. In my next visit I would love to see more effort (and/or communication) made around sustainable practises (water recuperation, solar panel, less plastic in the bathroom, ...) and where does the food come from (does this hotel support local farming?) and if it is organic.

We went for new years eve and stayed 6 nights. They had a new years eve party which was nice. The food was good and they had a decent band. The ground are beautiful and the owner interacts with the guests. The food at the restaurant is great and the drinks are ok. I had plenty of cocktails and didnt get sick from them so they must use bottled water for ice. My only real complaint is the room has an outside shower and partly covered bathroom which shares the walls of 3 other bathrooms. I didnt love this feature as you get to hear your neighbors use the toliet when brushing your teeth. I got quite sick one night from eating off the resort and felt bad for my neighbors having to hear me. Because its outside it appears dirty due to weathering. This is the best hotel in the area and you will have a good time if you go there but its not a 5 star hotel. 5 star view and 5 star grounds

It was my first time in Bali and in Asia in general. I must first say that my experience in Bali was centred around this breath taking hotel. I am a fond traveller and have stayed in many hotels including the Hilton and many 5 star resorts but Puri Bagus Candidasa has to be the best resort I have ever stayed in. Candidasa Is a gem and has to be one of the best areas to stay in Bali, far better than the touristy locations such as Kuta or Ubud. Upon arriving we were welcomed by the warmest smile and the coolest drink (which was necessary due to the warm heat in Bali) we were dealt with very swiftly as the hotel could tell we had travelled a lot and took us directly to our room. The cleanliness of the room and the whole resort in general was surreal. The room was well equipped with everything and very spacious, no problem at all with all bugs or WiFi as the hotel was very on top with all of this. The breakfast provided by the hotel was at all levels exceeding my expectations, they had a very wide variety to cater to all sorts of people. From European food right down to traditional Indonesian food. The staff were very accommodating at breakfast and spoke perfect English. The hotel had many activities available such as yoga, snorkelling, boat trips, massages and many others at an amazing rate, the hotel pool was located right next to the beach and looked beautiful. The managers were always available to speak to and listened with genuine care when you conversed with them. The hotel

The best thing about this place is the staff, all friendly, all helpful Wifi was sometimes a bit iffy in the villa but good enough elsewhere.

Situated at the end of the ‘beach’ strip it is a quieter alternative with lovely lavish bungalows, beautifully maintained gardens and a goid sized pool. Great pool side cafe serving ok Balinese dishes. Fabulous staff.

The rooms were very nice and AC worked well. Food at the restaurant was good. Staff was freidndly, but hard to communicate with. The activities were not organized well, and you were better off having the people from the beach take you as the hotel ended up hiring them anyways for double the cost. Very quiet, and not much to do in town. Very relaxing though. Recommend getting a moped to get around as it is far from anything.

Our 5-night stay exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures do not really do this hotel justice. The view is stunning and the grounds are kept beautiful with both the option of swimming in the pool as well as the sea(sea I see very clean here). The food, both restaurant and breakfast buffet is very varied and well tasting. The staff is very nice and friendly. This hotel is definitely worth visiting and has easy access to local restaurants and good dive/snorkel spots(dive shop on ground). Go here if you want to escape the masses in the south. Will highly recommend.

This is a beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. Surrounded by banana and coconut trees. Everything was beautifully done from the fresh breakfast to the hotel bar. We had a lovely room overlooking the beach, with an outdoor bathroom where you could see palm trees as you showered! It’s a short walk into the very authentic town and some nice restaurants - try Vincent’s! Otherwise food at the hotel is really good.

It was wonderful. A lovely complex where you feel like you are in Bali. All ground level bungalows built in the Balinese style

The hotel was a bit tired and in need of an update (eg.no flat screen TV in room), bed was uncomfortable and air conditioning not very effective. Staff were a bit pushy and kept wanting to sell us activities etc.Breakfast was very basic. On the plus side the grounds were beautiful and the pool nice.

Comfy, could make it dark and blast AC. Pool is huge. Sunsets are great but wished for beach (Candidasa has none really). Breakfast buffet is large and many options

The staff are very helpful and the accommodation was wonderful. The location is quite and nice to celebrate our anniversary.
