We booked 2 nights at Rua Beach Resort, in the most expensive room that was available, and despite reading some negative reviews, thinking they might have been exaggerated. They weren’t. We arrived at night, only to wait over 30 minutes because the staff didn’t seem to know we were coming. The room wasn’t ready. Once checked in, we had to argue and show proof that our booking included breakfast, they claimed otherwise. We finally got the breakfast included in the end.. Now, the breakfast: it’s supposedly a “set” worth 120k. What you actually get is one overcooked poached egg (yes, one), three toasts soaked in vinegar water from the egg, a smear of melted butter, and a single cup of coffee. That’s it. Not even a banana. We had to complain and ask for the staff to accept to give us cut fruits.. nice of them.. the management should include it by default with the breakfast.. As for the “beach view room.. forget the beach. You’ll get a lovely front-row view of a stone wall and a fence. The rooms have a shared wall and shared terrace with the one next door. So there is no sense of privacy whatsoever (See photo.) Also, even though this was supposed to be the best room, the WiFi didn't really reach.. The staff is nice, friendly and does their best, but it’s painfully obvious they haven’t been trained. That’s on management, not them. We tried to ask the staff about activities or anything to see around, and they were absolutely clueless. No useful information whatsoever has been given to us as to what we can see or do around besides: "mungkin bisa ke air terjun tapi di sini tidak ada apa-apa" (maybe you can see waterfalls, but there's nothing here). We are Indonesian. So this was definitely not a language barrier issue.

Please be held accountable that the photos of the superior bungalow room are not real like the hotel. The real room is like this. There are connecting rooms. The bungalows for sale are actually family bungalows. And there is a connecting room, so this room is a room for children.

This is the second time visit Rua Resort, can't wait to be third or fourth time. Got free upgrade this time due to technical error.😆. Take a side how lucky I am, this place is wonderful. Accommodation? Comfort and cozy bed, spacious bathroom (very important if you stay at beach resort). Food? Not too many choice, but the taste is good, use fresh vegetable from hotel land. Surrounding? Feels like private beach because their are buffer zone from public beach to resort. Service? Excellence, May be the best point from this place. Friendly-helpful-self initiative staff, looks like they are service from the heart and not just doing their job. You can choose from beach walking - hill walking - bird watching or just lay back at hotel room, May be just spend time reading at lobby and gazebo, or just play in pool with kids, there's so many choice. No TV is an advantage at this place, you just want to relax and don't waste your time watching TV.

The best resort I've ever stay with cheap rate. So homy, view amazing, ibu anna as manager hotel so kindly. She maintain resort as well. Food so good. This resort suit for couple honeymoon spend a whole day together so romantic. But one thing, so hard about signal. Should be goverment take action for provide tower telecomunication around this area.

I stayed in a deluxe bungalow with my husband. If you are late checking in like us, it's best to call first. Luckily we called, because the office closes at 4. Very satisfied, spacious bungalow. The staff is friendly. Complete amenities. Private pool and private beach are really plus points. Nice exterior and interior. Outside there are lots of mosquitoes, but there are mosquito nets on the mattress so you sleep soundly while hearing the sound of the waves soothing. If Sunday morning there are horses on the beach too. The breakfast is delicious. Very satisfied👍👍

Rua beach is a cool little hotel. Have your own beach. Beautiful swimming pool. Beach with white sand that is smooth and very beautiful. Room with a natural wooden terrace. The bathroom has a rough sand floor, rustic walls and a thatch roof. Rustic casual design. Uhm, cool. Especially if the breakfast can be buffet. What is clear is that the beach is very top and very private.
