This is the view from the hotel balcony. All you have to do is walk to the Bromo gate. To seruni points was only 10 minutes.

The upper rooms are pretty clean, the downstairs rooms are a bit dirty, WiFi can't, hot water isn't there. Cable TV is okay. Location okay. 7 value

Room is very standard, warm shower instead of hot, but location is really super! Just few meter from entry to Mount Bromo, and lots of food vendor around.

The place is really close with Bromo. It's quite clean with affordable price. There was a black out when I stayed there but they had genset so that we still could charge our batteries.

The owner was hardly present at all, the wifi didn't work upstairs where my room was, the power frequently went out, and there is no fridge to keep food/water cold. That being said, I am told that most homestays in Cemoro Lawang are like this, so I can't complain too much. The bed was comfy even though I only stayed one night to catch the Bromo sunrise. Also the location is excellent if you are just going for Bromo. Fine for a ONS, but any more I would recommend going to Cafe Lava next door.

when I am arrived, No reception. I have to wait 30 mins for check-in. electricity black-out at morning 30 September. while my mom on bath room. she need to wait 1 hours (caused the driver of my Jeep that turn on the Genset the last, when I am check out. no Front office that I call and keep the key. the phone number that I have was off

The 24-hour check-in was a joke. I arrived at the location around 9 PM and knocked on the front door for a few minutes before a sleepy-eyed fellow backpacker came to the front door. Yes, what appeared to be the lobby area had been turned into sleeping quarters! In fact, there was no lobby, no front entrance, no common area at all there. And there was no staff on site. I had no instructions so I was scratching my head. There was a banner--in Indonesian, of course--on the building, which had a telephone number on it that I couldn't call with my data-only Telkomsel mobile plan. But luckily, I found a local who called and spoke to the Udin manager and told him he had a registered, pre-paid guest was standing in the cold, waiting for his room. After 15 or 20 minutes, the fellow showed up in a jeep and let me into my room. The bed was fine but there was no drinkable water on the premises and no hot water, or soap or towel in the bathroom--just some soggy toilet paper next to the commode--so a shower was out of the question. It's a bummer. The location is ideal, right next to the entrance to Mount Bromo, but it's such a bad place I wouldn't book a room there again.

Really near to bromo, but for the price not satisfying. No sink and the sheets were not the cleanest.

When we arrived, there was no one. We slept in a room with no sheets in bed, no towel, no toilet paper in the bathroom which was dirty. Very expensive room! The only good thing is the location near to sunrise spots...

This is not a homestay, so don't believe you support any local family directly. We arrived there, and no one - whatsoever - was there. So no 24 hour reception, as claimed. Likewise, no 24 hour security as claimed. When we finally got a room, after several phone calls that we not answered or ignored, there was no water, neither cold, nor hot. Some old guy, not belonging to the place, got hold of the owner, whom we never saw, and got the water running, eventually also the lukewarm water. There is no internet, or rather there is, but as there was no one there, we did no know until the second day, when a tour group had booked all the other rooms, and their guide told us. Finally, the guesthouse is right on the main road, so extremely noisy all night, as the 4WD line up there to get into the park. Not recommended. How this place got such a high rating, I don't understand. It's a fraud, the information displayed is not true - i.e. not homestay, no 24 security, no 24 reception, and no internet etc.
