Ballymaloe House Hotel

As always our stay was amazing. It's such a treat to get away and feel like you are in the middle on nowhere. The peace and tranquility is fantastic. It's so nice to wonder around the shop there and the food is second to none. We had a lovely light lunch when we arrived as we wanted to save our appetite for our evening meal which did not disappoint. The rooms are so cozy and the bed was so comfortable. We had a great night sleep and all set for a beautiful breakfast in the morning which again was amazing. All in all it was a fabulous overnight and we are looking forward to going back again soon.

Upscale ancient hotel with amazing restaurant, grounds & accomodations, would stay longer next time. Gift & cafe is amazing.

I stayed at Castlemyrtle Resort before moving over to Ballymaloe House Hotel. I expected comparable comfort—especially since I’m paying more here—but key amenities like air conditioning and a TV were missing. Dinner was, frankly, disappointing for the price. The food lacked creativity and flavor, and the service fell short. Trainees were serving and couldn’t explain the dishes or answer basic questions about the food. Really? When you’re paying over $100 per person for a meal, you expect servers who are at least knowledgeable. The staff were friendly, but the lack of expertise was noticeable. Outside of the beautiful setting, everything else felt mediocre.

The rooms are beautiful, the food is outstanding—fresh, seasonal, and mostly from their own gardens—and the whole experience feels peaceful and personal. The dessert trolley is so decident, a perfect countryside escape. Can't wait to come back!

I enjoyed the dinner. I felt front of house were just ok The staff in the resteraunt were top class When we arrived we were just left standing there while 3 staff members attended one man ?? I had to ask for more info re room n hotel n key etc. I have had better service in other hotels. We were told there was no cake left on our arrival??

Absolutely stunning place with some of the best staff I've experienced!

Our stay at Ballymaloe House was a bit of a mixed bag. The house, grounds, and dining were all excellent, but the staff (less the waitresses and bartenders) were the low point of our trip. We had several interactions where, at best, we were made to feel like an inconvenience, and at worst like we were lesser. Basic requests like ordering room service for dinner were met with obvious annoyance from the front desk. So much so that we actually dragged ourselves to dinner after a terrible day of travel because it seemed like such a burden for them. On our final morning we showed up to breakfast as it was opening because we needed to get an early start. The hostess seemed aggravated and treated us like we had showed up an hour early. While none of these interactions were hugely problematic we left feeling like we needed to apologize for showing up in the first place.

Hands down the best experience we could’ve ever imagined. Comfortable, spacious accommodations. Kind, thoughtful, professional management and staff. World class food. Top marks.

Historic propert well maintained

Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. A really incredible establishment, a magnificent building and grounds with really lovely and friendly staff. Fantastic experience - would definitely recommend.

Such a special place! Service, food, accommodations, staff...excellent. Magical in everyway!

Lovely, out of the way setting. Nice pool, tennis court, walking paths. Our rooms were nice and the bathroom was modern. Service for tea and in the dining room was fantastic. We enjoyed the 5-course dinner well into the night. No self-serve laundry whoch put a cramp in our plans but not a huge deal. The desk staff was super accomodating

Ballymaloe House is located in a beautiful country estate setting with lots of greenery around the property. The locally sourced food is exquisite. I would like to go back and spend more time there.
