Everything was excellent

Great location, right on the beachfront. We had a Comfort Room, which was very comfortable, spacious and had perfect view from the 6th floor over the beach. Highly recommendable. Very extensive breakfast buffet. On the negative side, check-in was slow with no additional information, like where breakfast would be, or discounted pricing for the beaches, or information about the facilities (we realized only after a few days that the hotel has a big swimming pool area at the back). Breakfast was trying at times - coffee machines placed so that people getting coffee blocked getting to the buffet, often no cups, staff didn't notice the machines needed refilling. Check-in and breakfast were both not the sort of service one would expect in a 4-star hotel. We were completely ignored on our 2nd day at lunch at one of the hotel's beach restaurants, eventually we simply left and lunched for the rest of our stay at another restaurant.

State of de bilding needs work.

I have used this hotel for 3 years but this will be the last time. When I checked in they couldn’t find my booking at first. Then they told me the type of room (sea view) I had paid for wasn’t available but they would upgrade me. I entered the room to find scaffolding around the balcony and no view available. After complaining they gave me the only other room available which overlooked a road out the back. The hotel was hosting some kind of party which I wasn’t informed about so on top of everything else I had very little sleep. I changed my 2 night booking to 1 night and went somewhere else.

Building workers everywhere, full of teenagers, very poor service from staff, poor quality food.

I have seen mixed reviews for this hotel but I couldn’t fault it. Big comfortable room with great balcony. Staff accommodated everything I asked for and made my stay very pleasant.

I stayed at this hotel in July I would not recommend to anyone this hotel is full rude unprofessional stuff . We booked 3 nights and we left after one night stayed . The first night we decided to eat dinner buffet at the hotel which it was a big mistake the buffet was full of commercial low quality food . That night I got really sick after eating that food . The next morning we showed up at breakfast few minutes before closing considering the night I had . We were waiting in line at the bar to order a cappuccino one of the stuff member that was making the cappuccino asked to another guest what time is it and the guest answered it’s 9:58am so the stuff member said to us we close at 10am so I can’t make the cappuccino which is absurd the answered . At that point I was really unhappy so I went to front desk telling them we were going to leave two days early becausr we were very unhappy about the service we received if we could get reimbursed for the two nights out of 3 I paid but she said no so I asked for a manager she said no manager was on duty that day . I end up leaving anyway but before I left I asked for a manager to called me back but no manager ever called me back . I called many times after that requesting a manager to called me back but the manager never bothered to call . I also realize I left myPajama on top of the pillow it was a really expensive the maid said she didn’t find it in the room very strange it was blue on top of a white pillow would stand up .

The hotel is very outdated and tired. The room was sparse. Admittedly it’s out of season but the overall impression of this stay and this area is not for us.

The area of Milano Marittima is lovely. The hotel is practically on the beach and in close proximity to bars and restaurants but the hotel itself is tired and certainly not a four star. I complained four times about the lack of water pressure and absence of hot water in the shower before finally moved to another room. The morning breakfast also is not comparable with a four star rating.

Amazing

We stayed at the Ariana in Milano Maritima for a weekend visit by the sea, after attending a Trade Show in Bologna. Although we didn't get the room with the sea view which we booked the room we did get was overlooking the pool area. Breakfast could have been a little better! Milano Maritima itself is a pretty seaside town amongst the pine trees. We had an excellent time and found that there are several excellent restaurants offering a vast menu with excellent service. Although English isn't spoken by many those that did were only too pleased to make use of the English language! Overall a very pleasant stay by the sea.
