We didn't sleep all night due to strong noises coming from the water pipes in the room. At the check out we were told that a technical failure occurred, but this doesn't compensate the inconvenience of not sleeping all night. Condition of the room could be better for a 4 star hotel, the wall at the entrance needs to be cleaned. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly.

Very comfortable hotel with bags of character, we only stopped one night but will return. Our stay was during carnival and although there was a function on, the music stopped at exactly midnight. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced and breakfast selection comprehensive. We obtained a permit to park for free outside the hotel in the quiet street. All hotel staff, chambermaids, waiters and reception staff were polite and friendly, . Even through there were a lot of people checking in we were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Hotel has a good aspect but some of the apartments rented are not in a very good condition, we have two and one of them was pretty good while the other one was nothing like it, it was dated and with bad smells coming out of the drainage system, something normal in old buildings without care, that you don’t expect to see in a hotel.

Great hotel in an old opera house. Rooms were nice and spacious. Weird balacony leading to the courtyard view but the steps were to difficult to use. The staff was amazing. They were told I didn’t feel well and went above and beyond. They even asked if I felt better during check out. That was customer service!

Lugo di Romagna is not a tourist destination but it's a nice little town with good restaurants and a museum (and town square statue) dedicated to its famous son, WW1 fighter ace, Francesco Baracca, whose emblem was later given to Ferrari - the prancing horse. I've stayed at this fine hotel several times and always enjoyed my times here. Rooms are very clean, huge bed, very good bathroom, tall ceilings, spacious corridors too. Breakfast was very civilised and could be taken outside too. Very good pricing for the rooms whwenever I have been here. I recommend the fixed-price lunch at 10 euros. Buffet style with starters, mains and dessert, drinks and coffee. Help yourself to what you want to eat: enjoyed by lots of locals and ladies who lunch:) The hotel is easy to find and close to the centre. I walked there from the train station easily enough. I was there on a Wednesday so browsed in the weekly market; v good for shoes. Reception staff were v friendly & efficient.

We used this hotel as a base, whilst visiting friends who live nearby. It had been recommended to us as a good quality hotel with high standards and I'm pleased to say it met up to that expectation. There wasn't an awful lot to do in the surrounding areas although it was situated just a short walk away from the train station where it was easy to reach a number of other destinations in Italy. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the food was good and I feel we received value for our money. We chose a superior room and were provided with slippers and gowns. It may be worth noting there were no English TV channels, which although didn't matter to us at all, it might be a problem for some travelers.
