I can't say enough about this place. The location, the ambiance and especially the attention to detail provided by the owners. Just the breakfast alone was an exceptional experience. The owner took the time to explain every item on the buffet to every guest that walked in. All local ingredients and homemade bakery items. Please come and experience this wonderful resort. You will not be disappointed!

Luca was such a welcoming host. He offered many suggestions for local restaurants and ideas for tours to make the most of our time. I am not sure how he has the energy, but he seemed to be everywhere attending to guests.

Spotlessly clean, great pool and a fabulous breakfast. Room was a bit dated and reception had more of a hostel vibe. Walk to Volterra was a bit of a hike but all in all a very good place to stay.

The Hotel Villa Rioddi was one of the very best places I've ever stayed. The owner, Luca, was most attentive to our every need, whether it was suggesting a day's itinerary, pouring us a delicious glass of local wine and producing a fabulous breakfast every morning. Our room was spotless and appeared to be recently renovated. The swimming pool was large and refreshing after a day in the Tuscan sun. The location, just outside Volterra's old town, proved a perfect jumping off point to a myriad of Italian gems. Luca knew them all and was perfectly happy to steer us to them.

Excellent stay. Great welcome and check in experience with lots of info on the local area. Great breakfast using all local produce and different every day. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. And the views!! And the pool!! Luca the host was very accommodating. We work in hospitality and couldn’t believe the extras - choose your own mattress type, and pillow type. It really was a fantastic place. We’ll be back.

Lovely hotel located in a beautiful area with amazing views of the countryside. Hotel looks like a typical traditional house with all the comfort. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast on the terrace. With the car, we were 5 minutes away from Volterra.

I have only positive things to say about our stay at Villa Rioddi - beautiful setting, delicious breakfast and lovely facilities! We are incredibly grateful to the owner Luca who went above and beyond to make our experience as pleasant and easy going as possible. The breakfast also deserves a special shout out: amazing selection of cakes baked daily by his wife, delicious coffee and new savoury dishes every day. Thank you - we would love to come back!
