The staff was so welcoming from the time we arrived. The hotel property is beautiful. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Florence but they also have a shuttle. I’m a walker so I preferred to walk but it does have hills. The breakfast was so delicious I miss it. They have free parking which was important to us because we were renting a car to drive to Tuscany area.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, just outside of Florence in the countryside Tuscan setting. Shuttle to the beginning of Florence. Totally enjoyed the property and would return and recommend to everyone.

Excellent: service, groundskeeping, views. 10/10 Highly recommend. I hope I can return one day. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Maybe #1 A free hotel van shuttle runs 9am-1pm & 4pm-8pm and it will drop you off at your choice of 2 locations; Piazzale Michelangelo or near Palazzo Vecchia. Breakfast was included in our rate & it was served everyday. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruits, yogurts, meats, cheeses, juices, coffee machine, etc. Very good. Rooms have AC units. Don’t open the windows because the bugs will come in quickly.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was expensive and not many selections. The staff was generally very nice, although when I checked out the staff refused to give me the Expedia discount on drinks, in contrast to what the staff said when I checked in. That was frustrating. The grounds are lovely, but not an easy walk to the city.

The entire hotel staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating even when we kept their bar open, just to have a glass of excellent wine with our daughter and her boyfriend. Their breakfast was absolutely incredible; all fresh food, and gourmet coffee drinks to die for. The view was amazing and we could’ve spent much more time here. It was a true oasis just outside of Florence.
