Doria Grand Hotel

Staff were very pleasant. Room was a good size. Toilet seat was very low as were the twi chairs in the room.

The food could be better. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were runny and seemed like they were made from powdered mix

It started with the first night when we wanted to go to the restaurant downstairs to have dinner as we were tired from the journey. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t working and no one said anything to us when we were checking in. Next day when the restaurant was working we were served bread from the morning which was extremely dry. Food was also not great. Ordered pasta with ragu meat and it was one of the driest pastas ive had. Breakfast was okay as it had all the basics like eggs and fruits. Service was always very nice and welcoming. Weirdly my card kept gettIng deactivated so when i was coming back from a long day of walking had to come back down to get it activated. The one thing that really made up for the service was a very nice note acknowledging the occasion of our stay which was my Moms birthday. Hotel over all is in a good location and you can comfortably walk to the duomo in under 45 mins lots of stores and shopping along the way. Wont be coming back to that hotel as it didn feel like 4 star even though we got charged for 4 star hotel tourist fee.

Wonderful hotel

Great location, close to both the main station and subway. Room was lovely. Breakfast would have been so much better if the hotel reconfigure the current layout. Currently everyone is funnelled into a small triangular area with little means of escape once you have got your coffee etc.

Very nice Hotel with wonderful staff. Close to central station.

The hotel itself was lovely and conveniently located within walking distance of Milan Central Station. However, the surrounding area felt unsafe, especially at night. I was unfortunately robbed by local assailants at near the circle, and our tour group consistently felt anxious walking to and from the hotel and train station. It would be reassuring to see more visible police patrols in the evenings to help deter crime. Overall, we didn’t feel that Milan offered a secure environment for tourists—our group experienced multiple attempted pickpocket incidents during our stay.

This hotel is a 1.5 star at best. The staff made us feel like we were a nuisance. The guy that checked us in was very good unfortunately we never saw him again. I asked for a recommendation for a restaurant with in walking distance and the concierge told me she didn’t know and never even looked up from the papers she was working on.

This hotel claim to be Grand, maybe 100 years ago. Decor is depressing, dark but worse the staff treat you like you are a nuisance. The guy that checked us in was great but it was down hill from there. It was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had at any hotel ever. The set up for breakfast has everyone forced into a triangular area to get bad food. We booked 3 nights, had breakfast once and then checked out a day early leaving 300 on the table just to get out of there. Staff are very rude, especially the maid. I asked the concierge to recommend a steak restaurant within walking distance and she responded “I don’t know,” the next day we left and drove about 400 feet and turned right and sure enough there was a steak restaurant right there. This is an old rundown and dark hotel. Certainly not more than a two star at most. I cannot describe how bad the breakfast was. We left and drove to Florence where the staff at our hotel smiled and welcomed us with good morning and how was your staff questions. When we checked out a day early from the Andria Doria as we now call it the front desk agent didn’t even as why. Maybe he already knew.

Good value and comfortable stay but hotel needs to read customers requests on booking eg requested high floor was initially given room on first floor but after complaint on arrival they gave us room on 10th floor!

A nice experience overall

Friendly staff. City center, walk8ng distance to restaurants, shops and metro. Parking with a fee. Rooms are big and clean.

I enjoyed my stay quite a lot. The hotel is very close to the Central Station (7min walk), there are shopping options closeby and metro station. The breakfast was standard (nothing too special), but good. Overally I would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable room in a traditional style. Good bathroom. Plenty of choice at breakfast. All round decent hotel.
