Worst place I stayed in Italy. I wouldn't call it a Hotel, looked more like an unused building with an interesting history. It is in a very remote area with no transport facilities. One has to rely on taxi or cycles! It had bed and shower facilities, that's all. No restaurants, cafe or shops nearby. There was a very old looking broken drinks machine. Felt like the owner made no effort to make it look appealing to customers. Very disappointed.

A bit like a youth hostel just minutes from the centre of Pisa. The rooms and particularly the bathroom were basic but the location is great. An old manor house owned by the Medeci family in the middle of a park with wild boar, deer and other wildlife around. Really peaceful at night and yet within a 10 minute drive of Pisa (easy to park on the outskirts of the town too). We were bothered by the flies (lots of horses) and the breakfast was disappointing but we appreciated the table and chairs on the covered veranda where we had our evening picnic, watching a family of deer enjoying their evening meal! Great for kids with a play park and lots of safe space to let off steam.

Great location, very nice staff. The bedrooms are old and need maintenance. The door to the back garden doesnt contain a curtain from inside, there's one from outside which is full of bugs by evening. The locarion is far from the city for those who don't have a car, so it's better if the hotel offer shuttles to the center or train station.
