Stayed one night and had to leave early before breakfast was served, but our room was very comfortable and the property was clean and well maintained. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly. Good place to bed down if you’re just getting off the Bernina Express.

Although our stay was comfortable and the check in and check out was easy the hotel feels like it needs updating. The doors have standard keys without a dead bolt from the inside of the room. The laminate covering of the bedroom door was peeling away. Dated bathroom with mould above the shower. It wasnt expensive and very convenient for a 1 night stop over travelling between St Moritz and Anzio. Despite the updating required, I would stay here again for 1 or 2 night stop over. Travelled with husband and 2 teens (15&13) and shared a family room whilst interrailing.

Severely understaffed. There was a group of about 30, who were split between 2 hotels ( that's very poor) I had to wait until they had all been dealt with, irrespective of my place In The queue. I booked this hotel because it had secure parking but was told it wasn't avalablee due to a festival in Town. Broken electric fittings = dangerous. Mouldy grout in shower. The lady in reception was fabulous. Management cannot thank her enough. Give her a big bonus. As for the management/owners, they should not be in hospitality. They are in it for greed. The hotel is tired

Apartment is a good size and layout, convenient for a good supermarket and the centre of Stresa. Situated on a residential road it was quiet at times but other times was just a cacophony of dogs barking, building site and leaf blowers all around. The apartment was clean and tidy, but the furniture is old fashioned, particularly in the lounge and main bedroom. Also, everything was just a bit lacking. The apartment sleeps 4 but we were only left with 2 rolls of loo paper for our 8 day stay. It was difficult to keep on top of the cleaning as there was no dustpan and brush, no cloths to wipe around with and hardly any cleaning products. Basics were missing like ice trays for the freezer, kitchen cloths. The kitchen knives were as blunt as a spoon, no trays to heat things in the oven. There were CDs to listen too but in a locked glass display cabinet, and nothing to play them on. The main tv in the lounge was still analogue!! This had an accompanying digital box, that didn't work. At least the tv in the kitchen had streaming ..... it was just too small to watch. In the bedrooms the linen was crisp and white, but no pillow protectors, and the spare pillow didn't even have a pillow case. My main bugbear though was NO AIR CON. This apartment needs Air Con, the temp inside stayed around 27c Needs to do better, this could be a fabulous apartment - just needs more thought and updating.

We arrived a little before the 2pm check-in time and the hotel was closed and in darkness. No one turned up to open up until after 2pm and we were starting to think we would have to find somewhere else to stay. Check in was fine, but we had to fine somewhere else to eat as the restaurant was closed all evening, which we were not made aware of before we arrived. The hotel generally was in good condition as seemed clean. Our room however was a different story! It was quite modern and well decorated but in the bathroom, there was a mirror with a light above it. This light was splattered with a significant amount of dry blood. I went to report this to the reception and there was no one there. I waited for around 15 minutes and other guests had come to reception and were waiting too. Still no receptionist and no other staff as the receptionist was running the bar, which was left completely unmanned, and the restaurant was closed. After 15/20 minutes I couldn’t wait any longer and returned to my room without the issue being addressed. I was later told that the receptionist had “nipped out” leaving no staff on site at all! There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and I couldn’t buy one from the bar as, you guessed it, no staff there. If you are visiting Tirano, I’d suggest finding another hotel.

It was perfect for a one night stay before our train into Switzerland. No air conditioning in the room, but the windows opened up and during September it gets cool at night. Between that and a small fan that was more than enough. My one and only complaint is that the bed was made of VERY thin wood slats. Not made for heavier people. My husband is very tall and I’m very pregnant. That made getting on and off the bed a little tricky. Other than that, the stay was perfectly adequate for one night. And it was clean so I was very pleased with that.
