Alphonso and his team were excellent. The rooms are a bit older but are very clean and functional. Convenient to everything in this small seaside town, including loading on boat tours to Amalfi, Positano and Capri right in front of the hotel. Food was excellent in their ocean front dining room. Highly recommend due to its quiet and tranquil environment while having ability to tour crowded towns of Amalfi and Positano. Beach was right in front of the hotel and towels and lounge chairs were included in the room cost, along with breakfast.

Comfortable beachfront hotel with a restaurant to be able to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. The property has steps but not as many as you would find in other areas of the Amalfi Coast. They also include the beach chairs. Plus, they have a convenient Boat Tour stand at the property where you can book day trips to Capri, Positano and Amalfi.

This is a fabulous place to stay! The family that owns and operates the property are friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food in their restaurant is locally sourced and deliciously prepared. We loved the slow pace which invited relaxation. The prices are very reasonable—we will be back!

We loved this place! Initially we were surprised to learn how far Massa Lubrense is from Sorrento but then we were relieved upon arrival. It was far superior to the touristy overload of Sorrento. A lovely small coastal town with all you need right there. The hotel itself was perfect. Staff great. Highly recommend.

This location is perfect for families who want to visit the Amalfi coast and live in a low key area right on the beach. There are few hotels here but they are more like family run B&B's. La Certosa was great, Allessandro and Alfonso, both brothers run this place with family and they do a great job. Their service is excellent and they cater to each and every client. Location is on the beach, you get food at your beach chairs, great way to wind down and relax!! The town is 5 kms away, and it is right between Sorrento and Positano.We rented a small car, parked for free at Certosa private yard in a small alley way, we drove late afternoon and evenings to Sorrento and Positano. PERFECT!!

We had an amazing time on our 3 nights stay! The rooms with the sea view and terrace are probably the best. The hotel and restaurant down stairs is family run. It is basic but very pleasant. The best part is its location in the middle of the tiny strip of Marina del Cantone. Steps to Crystal clear waters, amongs amazing local restaurants and possibly to cruise to other destinations. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing location literally meters from the crashing sea! Right on the beach, we had a lovely small balcony so could see the whole bay from our room. A bit difficult to locate and find the front door, might be tricky with heavy luggage. We went out of season (only us staying) so was a little cold. The hotel is dated but full of character.

We got a rough start, because we was not expecting a 15€ pr night extra for parking. Allesandro at the check in was welcoming. But we must say the rest of the staff was rather rude. The room was smal, with no view, and the ac was not working before late at night. The second night we told the staff about the warm room, and they just replied that it was cold outside and no need for AC. Allesandro was again helpful and turned the ac on for us. Turned out that the ac is off if no-one asks to turn it on. The location is beautiful with free beach chairs and umbrellas. Nice hikes in the area and plenty of restaurants/bars for most people.

Hotel Certosa is a small, traditional family run Italian albergho. It's simple, clean and comfortable. The location is superb - right on the beach at Marina del Cantone. The family have run the place for three generations. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and the hotels restaurant has a great chef. It was just what we wanted - good hotel, good service, good value, giving us a complete break, peace and quiet, beautiful views all around, walking, bus service, sea swimming and boating and great places to eat.

Recently returned from a short break in this delightful hotel. Situated right on the beach in Massa Lubrense, it is a little gem. We had a room with a sea view and terrace, well worth the extra money. Breakfast was an absolute feast. We ate at the hotel each evening, and the food was well cooked, honest, home cooking, wonderful. Hotel was really quiet, as out of season, but the staff were still attentive and helpful. Only thing to warn about, the hotel is over 2 floors, and as there isn't a lift, the stairs can be fairly hard work. If you want an away from it all break, I would totally recommend this hotel. Will be going back again later in the year.
