Really enjoyed our stay the staff were helpful and approachable. The room was on the garden side so was quiet but the soundproofing improved this. The room was clean and included 2 small bottles of water every morning. We did not use the bar on our return from Florence. After finding our way from S.M. Novella station by tram exiting at Resistenza stop then catching the bus No 26 to the hotel which stopped near the hotel we went into and out of Florence the same way and didn’t find it a problem. The breakfast was very good and plenty of choice we started with coffee which I took back to the room before starting on breakfast again the staff were happy to do this.

We spent 4 nights here while visiting Florence and Tuscany. They offer a nice continental breakfast. We appreciated the free parking and the bus stop across the street. The pizzeria across the street is excellent. The room was clean. The bed was a bit too firm and the room was on the small side, but we would stay here again.

I had stayed at Hotel Marzia before with my son five years ago. It was good then and it was the same this time around with my wife. This time we stayed for three days and mainly visited the hilltop towns of Tuscany. It is an excellent hotel to both see Florence and to visit the surrounding area. Across the street from the hotel is the bus stop for bus # 26 that comes every 15 min. It's a short ride to the tram which takes you to downtown Florence all of it in perhaps 25 minutes. You can buy your tickets for the day at the front desk. Meanwhile, it's very close to the entrance to the north south autostrada. The hotel is comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast good. It has a private car park with adequate space which is a huge plus for those who travel with rented cars particularly in Italy. The restaurant across the street had excellent food. Overall the neighborhood was very accommodating and seemed very safe. The wifi worked well.

I’ve stayed at the Marzia on numerous Occasions. Great base for your Tuscan adventure. 30 Minute’s to the most beautiful city in the world Florence. Just a tram ride away costing just over a €uro. Just make sure you validate your ticket, yellow box on board. The hotel is very friendly, a Continental breakfast, and a coffee a great way to start the day, after a comfortable nights sleep. Hire a car. You’re next to the main A1 motorway to Roma. Also a stones throw away of the rich Tuscan hill’s, the great Chianti wine region. Some beautiful views up there. Visit the joining region of Umbria, very hilly but some lovely mediaeval town and city, without a car it’s difficult to get to some places. I’d definitely recommend, the Marzia for your stay. It’s cheaper than the capital Florence, and motorway linkups.

For the price the room was very small and felt very claustrophobic. Photos of the front with young ladies in sun loungers or chairs were not to be found when I got there and the great big dual carriageway virtually next door also was some what of a surprize. But I will say the air conditioning was very good and I did feel rather stupid asking for the remote when the control was the LED display and card key holder, the beds were excellent my was memory foam mattress was very comfortable and double glazing windows had excellent sound insulation which was needed as the road out was very busy and very noisy. It may sound rather arrogant but apart from one of the staff ( who was extremely helpful and I had a very good conversation with ) none of them could speak reasonable English which is now a global language and used by world countries to communicate with, which if in the hotel trade is a basic requirement. One of the female members of staff when I requested a change of room to a back room due to the noise at the front of the hotel, was very unprofessional in showing annoyance and some what barking at me, which only when I mentiond about no air conditioning she came to my room and demonstrated how to switch it on I was then able to breath with the windows closed. I will say the next day I was asked if i still wanted a change of room by the one staff member who could speak English but decline as the A?C was good.

Great Hotel. Been there numerous times. Very comfortable rooms, with a great continental breakfast. Staff very helpful. 10minutes walk from the local tram stop. 15 minutes into the beautiful city of Florence. Food great, loads of restaurants and lovely wine. A small drive to the chianti wine region, in the Tuscan Hills. A well worth visit up there. Wine tasting is a must, if you're into your wine.

The room was very clean, good size. Adequate breakfast. Handy to good pizzeria across street. Plenty free parking. We stayed there as a less expensive option to staying in central Florence. We drove to nearby tramstop called Nenni-Torregalli that had free parking and caught tram into Florence. Tram ride was about 15 minutes. Buy your tram ticket at the newsstand inside the co-op. This is cheaper than buying on the tram
