Orange Hotel

*I know a lot of reviews of this hotel are glowing but I urge you to read the Google reviews to get a clearer picture. Had we had read them I don’t think we would have booked this hotel. * The best way I could describe this hotel is a hostel with private rooms. I have stayed in hostels around Europe with the same service for much less money. I honestly would say that this place isn’t worth 4 stars. We were told to move after our first night due to deep cleaning. And we were given a much worse room than that we had paid for. It’s important to note that we weren’t the only ones. The entire 2nd floor was emptied. When we asked if any other rooms were available, there wasn’t any and no compensation was offered. The air conditioning in the room was broken and made such a loud noise that you couldn’t sleep, the bathroom was tiny as was the room itself, and the double bed was just two mattresses with a sheet over it. Also in the bathroom they only give you three small sachets of soap and no shampoo etc were provided (again makes it feel like a hostel). Additionally, the pictures have clearly been taken with a wide angle lense as they are quite small in reality. If you want a great location and that’s all you care about this hotel is really good. But if you wanted a nice hotel “experience” you can get a lot better for your money. The staff were friendly but weren’t sympathetic to the issues that we brought to their attention.

We had an absolutely atrocious stay at this hotel. A loose tile by the tub cause me to roll my ankle that I had surgery 2 months earlier. We immediately requested to cancel our reservation but the hotel would not issue a refund even though we never stayed the night in the hotel as we immediately left to a new hotel. The hotel was so clean, the staff were great and there was transport links to everywhere just outside the hotel. Highly recommended.

Needs some upgrades

The hotel has an excellent location and the rooms are very comfortable.

It is situated in a great position for convenience and bus routes outside the hotel on both side the road and 2min walk from the Vatican and many restaurants are it too and the staff are friendly I live the decor (indian chief motorbike) in courtyard and the old fashioned American cash register and Vespa moped on the wall in the Zen room It’s creates a soft relaxing atmosphere and would recommend

Nice convenient spot

They were doing massive demolition which has to be acknowledged during booking. It was not refundable and I had not choice but to throw away $1,200.00 USD and move to a new hotel. They would not issue a refund. ruined out trip to Rome.

I communicated clearly the need for two single beds with my stay. Staff on arrival claimed no such correspondence had been received and basically falied to acknowledge it despite my proof when presented. An additional €60 later i was allocated a different room. Bedding, blankets specifically, were sub standard quality and looked about 30 years old. TV didnt work.

The lock on the door didn't work, there was mold on the sink, the washer/dryer didn't work (clothes had to be hung up for 2 days because the dryer function didn't work), only half the spouts on the shower worked. The pictures and star rating are completely inaccurate. The only 2 positives were the location and the staff
