APA Hotel Koriyama Ekimae

Great APA hotel in Koriyama. Very close to the station, with many paid parking options. The room was large and very comfortable. The area around the hotel was safe and convenient. Highly recommend!

It good as APA standard

The room space is narrow. Both side of the bed has walk spaces, which would be good.

There is a car park next to it, easy stay during transit. The property matches the normal expectation on modern japan business hotel.

The hotel is pretty close to the station. The staff at the front desk was extremely kind and smiley, they gave us a warm welcome. The building itself is old and clearly needs to be renewed, but our twin room was spacious, beds comfy and the bathroom was clean.

Great location for walking to/from the train station, to shrines, and for shopping. For such a good price the room was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. All the staff I interacted with was very friendly and made an effort to speak to me in English which definitely made me feel more comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to solo travelers and anyone staying in Koriyama for a night or two.

The room is typical for a Japanese businessperson's hotel. Tiny, but clean, with minuscule bathroom. The staff has enough English skills for a visitor to get assistance. The laundry service is good. However, for a westerner the breakfast leaves a great deal to be desired. While it is probably fine for Japanese, I did not find stone cold scrambled eggs appealing. I got a refund on my breakfast coupons and ate breakfast at the McDonalds in the train station (2 blocks away) for three of my five days at this hotel. Additionally, the air handling unit is such that if the room is too hot, you must just turn the unit off and open a window to let the room cool down. The system is switched to AC in the summer, but in the winder it's a challenge to juggle the room temperature at night. Wake up, hit the off switch, then wake up and hit the lowest heat setting. repeat.

I was only visiting Koriyama for a day so this was ideal, as it was very close to the station (walkable, 5 minutes). The room was not as small as I expected most Japanese hotels are, so that was a plus. My partner and I were able to lay out both our carry one suitcases open and still some room left. The bathroom is extremely small, but again, we were only staying for a night that we didn't require anything larger than what we had. The staff at the front desk is very helpful and accommodating. They have breakfast but is not included in your rate, so keep that in mind.

The staff is a little cold but it's excellent in terms of location. It's small but I've encountered much smaller. It wasn't the small-town-hospitality I had hoped for, but if you like to keep to yourself, this hotel should be fine for you. No one will bother you. I was really annoyed because they quoted me a price, then after I accepted they changed it right in front of me. I asked, "It changed?" in Japanese but they didn't apologize or explain why. That annoyed me greatly. I just took it anyway because I had just come from a long flight and two long train rides.

衛生的で良かったです。ダブルベットの部屋しかなく、ツインが取れずに残念でしま。
