We had a really great experience, Tana-yu and breakfast/dinner buffets are outstanding! Hoshi-kan room was super clean, spacious and enjoyed the purified water! Highly recommend!

Service staff was excellent. Had stayed in Nijikan and Hoshi Kan on separate nights. Staff had helped to transfer my bags and brought over my beverage that I had left in the fridge to the new room. Thoughtful gesture that had impressed me.

I have stayed in hotels in many countries for over 30 years, but this was the first time I experienced a theft in hotels. There may be thieves anywhere, but having my phone stolen in Japan—especially in a tourist area—was truly shocking. I didn’t make a big deal out of it so my daughter and my elderly parents wouldn’t worry, but it is an experience I will never forget. Aside from this incident, the hotel’s facilities and food were good. It was disappointing, however, that many of the staff were not able to communicate in basic English.

Everything was great! The only thing I’d say that could be better is their policy against tattoos. It’s understandable, but in 2024, they’re losing out on a ton of business, and more moving forward, as tattoos become even more common, even amongst Japanese folks. Not that it really matters much to them; they’re always full and are even expanding. Overall, though, a great (if not a bit spendy) place for a family vacation

Hotel seemed to run very efficiently, despite it being very busy. Lots of entertainment options on site. Top floor onsen in Sorakan is very nice and provides wonderful views of the city. Would recommend for a family trip, but probably not for a romantic trip.
