The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes' walk to Ueno and Mido-cho stations, and downstairs is the Amiyoko shopping street with lots of food and convenience stores. The rooms are bunk beds, the beds are wider than expected and can sleep up to three people. It's very affordable, especially for families with children. The hotel's large bath is also very nice. The front desk service is very warm. Translated with DeepL.com (free version).

Convenient to travel. Very convenient. We go to 3 adults. Fit, but when opening the bag may be a little difficult. Limited space for a few minutes There is a lot of electricity in the room, do not have to add the three eyes to add it and the school will allow us to drink water if you do not want to clean the room. But with towels changed Foot towel in the bathroom every day The deposit of the bag is very good. Leave both before the check-in time. And after check out Check-in day, we come back six and a half times. Until the school officer informed him that he had successfully put the bag into the room For check out Until the officer informed that he could deposit the bag for no more than 1 day. Impressed by the service until the location had the opportunity to go back to sleep here.

This is a unique property. This hotel is located in the heart of the bustling Ameyoko area of Ueno. So very conveniently positioned to major train stations and Ueno Park, food and shopping; for that it’s a gem! The staff interaction I had was only at check in and out, but they were very friendly, welcoming and enthusiastically pleasant. When I booked, I had no idea that there were two buildings, the main one and one directly across the walking street known as the annex. Unfortunately, we were in the annex which made us not want to make the trek across the public walking street to the main building to use the public bath, so we never did use or experience it, which was one of the amenities I’d hoped to make use of - same for the laundry facilities. I booked a 3-person room. It was a VERY tight space. Plus’s: Bathroom VERY clean, heated toilet seat with bidet, bright white fluffy towels, crisp white comfortable sheets and duvet, lots of free convenient amenities available in the lobby, large soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the bathroom, very mini fridge, location, location, location! Minuses: cramped quarters with no place to put clothing (4 hangers on a small rail were provided) or have luggage open, carpet drapes and future are worn and dated, one bed was very firm (top bunk), one bed softer and dipped. If you’re looking for a well-priced, great location “travelers” style hotel, this is it! If you need more space and aesthetics, this may not be it.

It's centrally located in the Ameyoko Ueno market and everywhere you go you can find somewhere to eat or do something. And it's only a 3-4 minute walk to the JR Ueno or JR Okachimachi Station. The rooms are *small*. That's a given and for three people with luggage you have to be creative how to position everything so you don't stub your toes. The staff is very very helpful and friendly and they understand English well enough. The lobby and areas are dated like a scene from the 80's but it's accommodating. The only part I didn't get to enjoy was the onsen (I have tattoos and was under the impression it was tattoo friendly and they should mention it in their listings which is why I feel kind of cheated). Free coffee/matcha green tea for breakfast. And the one part I did love was they piped in Elvis tunes in the lobby 24/7. Not young Elvis but the sweaty jumpsuit karate Elvis era which was kind of niche. It was an okay place to stay for the price and location. But otherwise I'd opt for larger rooms.
