Great stay, all staff are friendly, simple breakfast provided and we can also use the kitchen. Small balcony with Mountain Fuji view is a great addition. Walking distance from Kawaguchi station and the lake.

Nikko Park Lodge Tobu Station
This is the cheapest place you'll get in this area by far. Nothing too fancy. It 's a bit older and dark with minimal lighting, but it 's not dirty. The bathroom cleanliness standards (for females, at least. I wouldn't know for the male bathrooms) are up to any modern Japanese standard. The beds are very soft and warm, which is a huge plus for the mountainous area. The blankets have down fillings for warmth, so another plus. They have a microwave and plenty of warm water, but no fridge dedicated to guests. Reception is lovely, lovely, lovely. They even played our favorite anime on Netflix once they heard we were anime fans. The location is top notch for convenience, as it 's right across the station.

Nikko Station Hotel II bankan
The hotel is not far from the station and supermarket. It's quiet and clean, and the staff are really nice. The mountain view from the window is amazing, and the breakfast is delicious.

Hotel Ootaki
Very nice hotel with free onsen for guests. It 's just a pity that the onsen is separated by gender.
