Great hotel very close to all the main shopping areas. You literally walk out back and there's a waterfront canal stretch that has shops and leads to Dotonbori, and the front walk has several good, affordablerestaurants. Excellent location and very nice breakfast. Also has a nice coffee machine as well as a free pancake machine for treats throughout the day. Small room (normal for Japan) and great staff. Would love to stay again.

Seems like a new hotel - quite clean and nice. Staff spoke English and were helpful. Comfortable-sized room - not tiny. Had coffee all day and water, tea, and snacks in evening. Have a nice dining area where could sit.
Train across street and bus stop out front. Kyoto station in walking distance. Good bakery next door and convenience stores and restaurants close by.

Outstanding. Best hotel in a 3-week trip, directly across from train station yet quiet. Very good and large Japanese breakfast, laundry onsite, free coffee/tea/snacks. Super friendly staff and walkable to many places too, and you get a large room (not the norm for Japan).
