place look awesome and cool. The vibe is great, I normally grab one or two drinks while waiting for my friends. Price wise is awesome too, I travel with 5 friend so we took the whole room with 3 bunk bed. If you travel individual might have some hassle with other traveler and required to be more considerate. Overall for me was a good stay for a group. Location was is very awesome too as it just around the corner with Canal City.

The location of the hostel is the best. I think the room size is just nice as I was staying in the 16 mixed dormitory. Be aware that check in is only 4pm onwards but no worries as everything is just a walking distance to keep you occupied before checking in.

Very clean and well attended. A bit loud on the first night but that was the fault of other guests, and it was a holiday in Japan so cannot blame them!

I wouldn't recommend this hostel, even though it's very new and in very clean conditions.
I visited Fukuoaka during the corona virus outbreak, and as a person with Asian/Chinese descent I feel like the check-in staff were extremely unfriendly to me. Further, I was booked into the shared dormitory, which I would strongly suggest avoiding because there's around 18 people couped into one room.
Would recommend another place where there's less people in a room (eg. 8 room dorm) because there are only 4 showers for the whole floor, so essentially sharing this with 60+ people.
Overall, new hostel but one of the more unpleasant experiences I encountered in Japan (which is a very friendly country normally).

Location was great! You can walk to a lot of key places / must visit areas in Fukuoka. Bed was also spacious, bathrooms clean and dry most times. Service is a possible are of improvement -- I was offered new sheets but never actually got them when I confirmed.

Staying in Fukuoka for 1 night on my way to the airport. It’s a quick 12 minute walk down the Main Street out of the train station. Meals and drinks available for purchase at the bar lounge(the night I was there they were having a big Indian curry party). Security code to get into the building after hours and to get into your room. There’s not a ton of space for suitcases in the room (I.e. we had to walk single file past the suitcases lined up against the wall), but the bed linens were clean, the bed was comfortable, the bar was quiet after dinner and it was really easy to get to the train station.

Very new hostel located about 10 minutes walking distance from the Hakata Station. Dorm room was clean and very private with the curtains for each individual bed. Clean bathrooms with toilet, sink, and shower all separated out. Atmosphere/environment is perfect for those interested in meeting new people. Live music every night I was there. Great value for a wonderful hostel experience. Highly recommend!

Nice staff and good place in general but I was in a large room with several (~15) bunks. The A/C could not keep up with the demand. By 1 am the air quality in the room was noticeably stale. By 4 am it was rank.

Good chance this is he best hostel in Fuk. Location is spot on, right near Nakasu Island for some ecening yatai, a 15 minute walk down the road to Hakata, and walking distance to Tenjin. The price was reasonable, the bar was a nice meet spot, and there are opportunities to mingle with other travelers. No complaints about the wifi, everything was clean, and the decor was trendy. Each bunk had a light and an outlet. This hostel could improve by having the beds pre-made and giving their customers a larger area to lock their belongings. Other than that I highly recommend The Life and would stay there again.

The Life is great – a really great location (walkable from the main Hakata Station, or a short subway ride if you have big bags), and close to a ton of bars, restaurants, and shopping (right near Canal City). The lounge and bar area are great; very comfortable and nicely designed. The rooms are good; they're a little tight but very clean and new. They have very small safes for some personal items (passport, wallet, etc), but if you bring a laptop or large camera, you won't be able to stuff it into them. But the front desk will hold bags for you, if needed. WiFi was good. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and nicely kept. The place is a lot bigger than it looks in the listing; there's many more rooms it seems.

The life hostel is very new and clean. It is also close to the hakata station - 10 mins on foot with luggages.
No lift to upstairs and parking building a finger away from room windows. The double room where I stayed was very very small and no place even to put a toothbrushe on in the showers.

고층건물 2층에 가건물로 침대짜놓은 느낌입니다. 교통편을 제외하고는 침대나 분위기가 산만하고 안정감을 주지못했습니다. 체크인할때 큐알코드 없으면 시간소모가 많습니다. 투숙객에게 모든것을 맡겨놓은 느낌!
