This is a great hotel for people coming from outside of Japan. Me and my fiancé stayed there for two nights and had both of our breakfasts and dinners there. For breakfast you have a choice of western or Japanese style breakfast. We chose Japanese both times. For dinner it’s a 5 course meal that was delicious. Both meals were an assortment for different foods but by the end we were both full. The most important thing to keep in mind when staying here is it’s about a 40 minute bus ride to the actual town where the lake is. I didn’t mind this however because the area our hotel was in was also really beautiful and I don’t think we would have known about it without the hotel. It was about a 2 hour ride from Haneda airport using both the Shinkansen and the bus to the hotel. Figuring out the bus was a little difficult but after showing my google maps to the bus driver they confirmed with me we were in the right spot. Lastly, for our room we got a private onsen which was a splurge but defintely worth it, especially since we were not comfortable using public onsens. The view was beautiful and defintely was a memorable part of our trip.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights and was bitten by insects many times. I asked the waitress and she said they were small mosquito bites. But when I got back to Tokyo, the physician said those were insect bites, not mosquito bites and got a proscription of some medicine. The bitten areas were hard and painful and some pus came out.

The room was cozy, the outdoor Onsen was fantastic. We love the privacy and the Mountain View. The staff was well trained and extremely helpful, especially the food servers. We enjoyed every moment of our two night stay. One issue that can be improved is the lack of a shuttle service for the guests. The Ryokan is on a rather steep slope and dragging our luggage back and forth was a real choir. Difficult to get a taxi from the Ryokan and the shuttle bus was not readily available. The Ryokan should have a van and a driver to ferry people back and forth between the Ryokan and the town. Charge a bit more to cover the cost, we for one, will gladly pay for the convenience! Overall, well done, and thanks.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Communication started right at the beginning. The room was Amazing with a private onsen on the balcony and the room was big enough for 3 people. Breakfast and dinner was included and I never seen a presentation like that. Staff was amazing and super friendly. Great place to stay and would do it again any time!

While this property could use a renovation as some of the rooms and components appear to be aging, this was a lovely stay and the staff were incredible throughout our entire time. This is a great middle of the road option for people to look for if they would like a private onsen.

I have mixed feelings about my stay. On one hand the staff are really nice and trying their best. And the room is amazing a really good vibe and was really fun. The onsen was a really cool touch. And felt very traditional and comfortable. However, I felt like everything was on there time, which made the relaxing part a little tough. Breakfast was served until 8.30 AM at the latest, Dinner was served no later than 8 PM, and if I wanted my room made up it had to be before 11 AM. When I’m on holiday I like to sleep in at least until 9AM and then get breakfast, and would at least like until 1PM to have my room made up. These are things that 3 star hotels accommodate let alone 4 star. Other than that it was a great stay and if your an early riser I do recommend. But for me it all felt a little bit rushed and on there schedule. Where I felt a holiday should be more on my time as that’s the point of it for me! Hopefully they can learn and extend breakfast to 9.30 AM Dinner until 8.30PM And will make your room up until 1PM But they really are strict and won’t extend breakfast for you so just be aware if your booking all inclusive. You pretty much have to get up at 8AM to be able to utilise it. Apart from all that overall good experience, just a bit more accommodating to my requests would have been nice.
