Lovely place to stay. Cute ryokan style room with own toilet and sink. Onsen downstairs was ok but there are lots of onsens to explore in area for bathing after skiing.
Location was excellent. A short walk to main Happo bus terminal. Also very short walk to Hakuba Valley Shuttle bus stop and skiing at Nakiyama slope. Not much of a walk to Happo Gondola either. Really enjoyed our stay with fresh matcha tea making stuff every day as well as a little treat - usually a kitkat or mandarin :)

The futons/floor mattress were unexpectedly comfy! Breakfast is authentic Japanese. The staff is very nice and helpful. Location is great (7 min walk from a ski lift). Alot of ski rental facilities to choose from. Be aware though that there is only a Japanese public bath in the hotel. No private shower option.
