Hotel Sun City Ikebukuro

Will never stay in this hotel again restriction to friend visitation at room even for one hour. Not a very user friendly hotel.

Lovely hotel. Very close to train station. Clean and quiet. Will go back again.

We stayed for 12 days and will go back again. It’s very close to the train station, everything you need from a small hotel is there. Air-con & air cleaner are working well. Wifi is not the fastest but acceptable.

We had a large room next to Ikebukuro station. I was worried about not being able to sleep at night because of the noise, but we slept fine. You can hear the trains, but it’s not that bad unless you’re a light sleeper. Overall, nice stay, very close to a train station, super convenient!

The location is very good and close to Metro. There is a wonderful cafe just next to the hotel , room size is good but if face to train track, a little bit noise at night sleeping . But value for money overall

I would definitely stay here again as it is right beside the train station, so it is as easily accessible as it can get! Being right in Ikebukuro, there was so much shopping and restaurants to choose from. Very lively at night! Also right beside a major train station meant it had all the major train lines to get around the city!

Young family of four. A little tight but comfortable enough for us. Great simple hotel for the price. Lots to eat and shop around the area.

Fine place if you only care about a comfy bed while you spend the rest of your time exploring like I do.

Very close to the train station

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and roomy enough. Hot water was instant and water pressure was strong. We stayed 2 weeks and were comfortable. A/C was cold and quiet. Hotel is across the street from a major train station, so that was convenient.

Good location right in front of West Exit of Ikebukuro Station. My single room was very spacious compared to other hotels I stayed in Tokyo.

Excellent location next to exit 20A of Ikebukuro station and centre of shops. Small room and bathroom, but this is Tokyo!! Good valu for money in Tokyo.

Hotel is like less than 5 mins from the correct exit. Super convenient. Ikebukuro is a good base to go to places like kawagoe and kamakura, minus the frantic crowd like tokyo, shibuya etc. On yamanote line, hence easy to go Ueno, tokyo station etc. You can take the airport shuttle bus ( willer express) very near to Ikebukuro stn. Peaceful corner of the station and yet you can shop at ease at Tobu ( close at 8pm) and Seibu ( close at 9pm). Quite many eating options surrounding, just round the corner is an eatery that sells fantastic grilled fish. Family room (4pax) faces directly against the station and you can hear the vividly, though i am a light sleeper, it did not bother me at all. We are usually so tired every day after walking. Room is slightly small. 2 individual beds against one corner, another is a pull out bed and sleeps 4. Room is quite dusty though, usually see dust when you flip the blanket. There is a table with no chairs, hence have to stand while eating or eat out. Appreciate the room's heater ( heater and aircon 2 in 1). Makes the room bearable in this winter. Blanket is very warm too. Bathroom and toilet is together, hence slightly inconvenient for 4 pax. Very value for money as we book below $200 for a night. For the convenience and value, we are willing to overlook the small inconveniences and be back again for this hotel. Thank you staff

Fav hotel at Tokyo ikebukuru. Super convenient, 2min walk to train station, have lots of restaurant and convenient store nearby.

Easy to go around as it is near Ikebukuro station. Just a minute walk. It is worth for the money.
