Overall is good. The room size was big enough for 3 luggage. It was near the Kagoshima-Chuo Station and the bus station. The shower was quite weak. The price was low so it was very valuable to stay here for 1-2 nights.

The parking was free but it was a long distance from the hotel. There was very limited parking near the hotel entrance and once you moved your car you had to park you had to park far away. The room was good and the location was great because of the convenience of shops across the street.

Older business hotel with keys that have to be dropped off at the desk every time you leave. Pros: Location. Near Yataimura and Kagoshima Chuo Station. Extra pillows on rack near the elevator. Cons: Check-in. This hotel threatened to cancel my reservation unless I let them photocopy my driver's license or resident's card. I reminded them that according to Japanese law people with addresses in Japan, regardless of nationality, are not subject to such privacy invasions (unfortunately, tourists a forced to comply). I stayed calm the entire time, and they eventually relented. However, if you are a non-Japanese resident of Japan, then I do not recommend this place because they appear to train their staff to break the law by demanding a copy of ID even from Japanese residents. Room. The description claims there are black-out drapes/curtains, but this was not the case in my room. The attached picture shows daylight easily glowing through even though the room lights are on. The air conditioner is not from the 21st century. You can turn it on, but you can't change the desired temperature. It was way too hot (controlled centrally). There's no humidifier in the room, so it was bone dry while sleeping. Woke up with a sore throat every morning.

Easy to find the hotel, right along the river in town. Close to a covered walkway that has a giant peach as the sign (Momotaro) that has some restaurants. Lots of convenience stores around to get cheap food or drinks. The hotel is mostly Mehdi, it is older and dingy (not dirty). Their included "breakfast" is 1 hard boiled egg and 1 piece of toast, if you want more then you pay... not what I would call breakfast. They did have free non alcoholic drinks like coffee (machine that made different kinds) also Japanese pop and cold tea. They had toaster ovens and hot water as well as packets of matcha free as well. Big TV in the eating area with lots of chairs but no relaxing area with comfy chairs. I had a private room capsule, the room is so small that you have the capsule and a small table with stool and a lamp but no real room to move inside or store luggage. Bath area is public, men only, pretty standard. They supply robes and towels but no yukata to sleep in. Standard toothbrush, hair brushes and razors are included as well. They have laundry machines as well that are not advertised and they have free laundry soap but the machines are coin operated. Capsules have a working ventilation system (which is rare) a light, mirror and TV, there was no electrical outlet in the capsule but was 2 in the room by the desk. Western toilets and urinals. I would say this is a decent place but the least nice capsule I have ever stayed in, bed was ok but not great, pillow was bad.

It was OK. The room was dated and small. The bed was short so if you are very tall (1.80m plus) your feet may stick out. We know the size of the room we were getting so was not a surprise. The location is very central, close to Chuo station, across Yataimura. Considering the price and the quality of the room I would recommend to stay at a different hotel.
