This is a very modern facility; everything was spotless. Very close to train and good restaurants. The Garden Cafe was a favorite. The Seisan restaurant is on site and good. Dry helpful staff. We liked the town too. Not crowded and interesting. We found a special coffee place on the way to a shrine in someone’s garden.

The hotel is in a great location...on the western side of the station away from all the commotion and business of the east side. It is extremely quiet, and exceptionally clean. The rooms have a very simple, almost Zen aesthetic that I found to be comfortable overall. I was in room 309. While I did not mind the lack of TV or radio or wall decorations, I did find the room lighting to be very insufficient. In the sleeping area there were only two small ceiling lights below the foot of the bed. I had to borrow a lamp from the front desk to be able to read at night. There are also no dressers or other furniture in the room aside from a desk built into a wall with a nice view overlooking a quiet neighborhood. Another surprise was that although a small electric pot is supplied to heat water, guests must buy tea bags from the front desk. The front desk staff was excellent, and they provided extremely good service when I left two jackets in the room. When I realized at my next destination (Nagoya) that my jackets were back in my Kamakura bathroom, the hotel staff packed it and sent it by overnight delivery to my Nagoya hotel, with a total fee of only 940 yen. Amazing.

Pros: Very close to Kamakura station and komachi-door street which was very convenient. Hotel is clean & very modern Cons: Hotel lacked many things which would make it a comfortable stay. No in-room tea/ coffee items or even a mug - only a kettle. No in-room safe. No storage. Hotel doesn’t have laundry facilities. Breakfast is average & needs to be preordered the day before, including the time you will have breakfast. I personally would not stay there again as it lacked warmth & comfort. This is our 5th hotel stay on this trip & I would return to each of the other 4 hotels.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels we stayed at on our trip: very clean and spacious rooms, comfortable bed, staff were super-friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic and close distance to Kamakura Station, the shopping district on Komachi-dori street and a 10 min walk from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. Will definitely stay again the next time we're in Kamakura and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and central place to stay.
