Kanucha Bay Hotels & Villas

When we arrived the room that was designated to us smelled like mold and felt humid. They accommodated us and upgraded our room which was great. The room itself was clean overall, however there was noticeable mold on the toilet seat areas and when the air conditioner was turned on the room as smelled humid. The location was so far from the airport that uber services were not available and was only available through the hotel service. The food quality was mediocre and the restaurants on site were expensive. In addition to that, my sister experienced food poisoning after eating at the Chinese restaurant. While seated during our dining time the waiters and waitresses just stared at us and it was so uncomfortable. Adding to that, everywhere we went they stared at us and made us feel almost un-welcomed. They don’t have room service on Thursdays and they close all of their pools or activities extremely early. The language barrier is huge! Even using a translation app didn’t help.

Love all the facilities and activities available. Breakfast is super good. Good value for the price. Will definitely come stay with Kanucha Resort again.

The rooms were beautiful and we all enjoyed the Stardust Fantasia lights. Dinner at the Okinawan restaurant and the buffet breakfast were delicious. Getting around was easy by trolley or walking.

Great stay. Room was clean. You can request a "no room cleaning" day. They still give you new towels by hanging them on your door, and they will take any trash bags you place outside your door.

Had a stove in the room, didn't work. Resort wanted us to use the microwave in the lobby. Not near our room. Overall, the stay was fantastic and staff is amazing

Overall okay stay. The rooms were great and comfortable for a family of 4. The beds were comfort, the AC was great, and the room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 4 of us. The view from the room was amazing! We were disappointed with the on site restaurant options. We ended up choosing a yakiniku style restaurant for dinner our first night and fought off bugs the entire time as it’s outdoor dining. The bugs were even in the food buffet server. The poolside bar was trash, don’t even bother spending money there. We grabbed drinks from the small convenience store on site and were told we could not drink them at the pool. So we walked to the poolside bar and couldn’t help but laugh at the drink options. $7 for a small Orion or some orange juice based cocktail served in paper cups. Garbage lol. I don’t think we’ll be back in the future. Lol.

It was a relaxing stay, with many activities to do, that were COVID safe.

Not recommended if you’re not native Japanese. Extremely rigid Japanese attitude. Most services like spa is only available to golfers (I am not, so they kicked me out). Nobody speaks a word of English. The facilities and rooms are run down and not anywhere close to high quality. Just the usual unfriendly Japanese hospitality for foreigners who prefer quality and friendliness instead of consistency

best service and amenities and cleaness. most importantly the best view. you need to rent a cart to see around. this resort is huge and beautiful all around. there are golf course around the resort. I saw two swimming pools. not many people at this moment beof covid so it is best time to enjoy amazing beach view in quiet night and morning. just amazing amazing amazing.

Amazing service all around and a great view from the room.

All staffs are professional and polite. The whole villa area is gorgeous and well organized. Room is a little bit old, but very clean and tidy. It’s a great experience there.

It was a beautiful property, but was not advertised that all activities were closed. The only pool open was at an additional cost, nearly ¥4,000 for our family of three.

Property was awesome!!! The actual beach part of the resort could use some work.

The price we paid for the big room wasn't up to the quality we received. Transportation to/from lobby and restaurants were difficult. The Japanese restaurant was particularly expensive and barely edible. Real disappointment.

It is nice hotel, the room is big and clean.
