K's House Hakuba Alps - Hostel

The place is really nice. We would love to come back some time again for trekking. And thank you Tosh for dropping us in the railway station.

Lovely space and easy access to Goryu. The family who runs the hostel is incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful with so many questions and recommendations for Japan. The hostel is open and airy while still being cozy and feels like you're staying in a large house which was kept immaculately clean. Loved this place!

Wonderful place to spend a few days in Hakuba Valley. A short 10 minute walk to Escal Plaza and Goryu ski resort. Toshi and his wife are so kind and accommodating. The property is clean and quiet, the perfect resting place for several days on the slopes.

Toshi and Meg are delightful hosts. Toshi even picked me up at the train station, intuitively knowing that I'd be there. I did not request this service, it was something he did on his own to make me feel welcome.

Toshi-san was very hospitable and giving! Friendly family and energy all around. Will be back! See you again Toshi san!

Friendly family run property with a mix of shared and private rooms and shared bathrooms and kitchen. Perfectly located for some of the ski runs or summer hiking trails. Simple but comfortable, extremely clean and tidy. Toshi and his team could not have been more Charming or helpful. Highly recommended.

The hosts are exceptionally kind and eager to help. The kitchen is well stocked and very convenient for cooking our own meals, and the common area is comfortable and spacious. We love K’s!

Toshi and Megumi, who run the hostel, both speak English very well and they were extremely helpful with all kinds of useful information about nearby restaurants, directions, bus schedules, and providing for discounts on lift tickets and ski rentals. They helped make our stay a success! A small private room and bathroom in the hostel had everything we needed to be comfortable. Conveniently located to the Goryu 47 ski resort. My son and I enjoyed our skiing at both Goryu 47 and the Happo One ski resorts.

The hosts are so friendly and eager to help in any way they can. Their English is great and the kitchen is well equipped. We had such a great stay and will definitively be back!

This hostel is really clean and organized. We really like how accommodating the hosts were. The location is really close to Goryu Ski resort, and a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. My Fiance and I really enjoyed our stay. We definitely going to stay in K's House again in our future trips to Hakuba. Highly recommend this place.

Great futons and great staff

Awesome location, great staff, comfortable rooms. Everything you want from an affordable stay. The rooms have their own bathtub which is hard to find at this price point.

We stayed for a quick ski holiday at K's House. While the facilities are not luxurious, they are clean and comfortable and it is walking distance (1km roughly) from the ski lift and several restaurants. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The hosts were fantastic. Always super friendly and helpful. A real family feeling to the place and very conveniently located near the Goryu resort.

The hostel is with all facility you need. Hosts are so nice and friendly to guests. Best staying experience ever. Looking forward to visiting again.

Ks house is in a great location, only 10 minute walk from the closest train station and also a ten minute walk to the base of Goryu Mountain. They have discounts for gear hire and the ski lift passes. Snacks, toothbrushes and razors are available to buy for 150 yen and the laundry is 300 yen to use for washing machine, dryer and detergent. Toshi and Meg went above and beyond with exceptional service. It feels so welcoming and they even provided a shuttle to the grocery store and a lift to the station upon the end of our trip. The bathroom and kitchen areas are very clean and can accommodate for everything you need. The beds are comfortable with sufficient bedding. There is lots of room to store your ski and snowboard gear. Overall we had such a comfortable stay and felt very at home. We hope to be back one day soon. Thankyou Toshi and Meg!

Wonderful hosts - most helpful and friendly. The owner picked me up from the station, and delivered me back to the station when I was leaving.
