Room was larger than expected. In great location near train station and plenty of restaurants and shops. Staff were delightful and very helpful. We didn't try the breakfast, but got food from the convenience store for breakfast each day. Laundry was useful (they supply detergent which automatically goes into the washing machine). Would stay here again. Hotel is older, but good value.

The room was decent and water pressure amazing, and that’s where the positives end. We tried to check in at 1200, knowing we wouldn’t be able to but checking when the room would be ready. We were told about one hour. Came back to the hotel at 1430 to be told that there wouldn’t be anyone at the front desk until 1530. Unsure why there was only one person working and why they stepped out for an hour at peak check in time. There is no front desk workers or staff of any kind between 2200-0900, which is a safety concern in my opinion. Nobody to contact besides an “emergency number” posted to the door. Need a key card to get into the building after 2200 but only given one for a two person occupied room, which made it complicated if we wanted to do anything separately. Tried to use the laundry machines on the second floor, washer didn’t work. We washed our clothes in the bath tub and tried to put them in the dryers offered by the hotel. At 100 Yen / 30 minutes, we tried drying our clothes for 2 hours and they didn’t get even remotely dry, so those also don’t work but there was nobody working to notify. There is a liquor business being operated in the main lobby? This was not disclosed when booking, made the lobby very cramped and didn’t feel welcoming. Hotel itself is outdated, floors were very dirty in common areas. The windows to our room were open when we checked in, in the middle of Japan winter. Also don’t provide housekeeping unless extra charge.

Cleanliness is 0/100. Our room smelled urine the whole stay. Absolutely horrendous experience at this hotel. The room was disgustingly dirty, with stains on the sheets and floors. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine, making it nearly impossible to use. The overall hygiene standards were shockingly low, and it felt like no effort was made to clean or maintain the rooms.
