Very good place to stay, all rooms are clean and very quiet also smells good. It's near the legendary Honcho street of Fujiyoshida, and don't forget the very humble receptionist. Best experience.

The owner and his wife were really lovely, and gave us a huge amount of information about local places to eat - as well as some excellent tips for our hike up Mount Fuji. The hostel is really nicely laid out, very clean, close to lots of food options (restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores) - and has an incredible view of Mount Fuji from the communal indoor and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Very clear instructions by emails after booking. Effective communication by English via email or face to face. Very helpful staff. Excellent cleanliness in common area. Walking distance to both train stations and has bus stop in front of the hostel. Has hot water, coffee & tea supplies & clear instructions on cooking ramen by microwave oven. Could be better if there is a pantry for simple cooking with an individual sink. Will return to this hostel when revisiting Mt. Fuji area again

The place is totally clean and friendly, tha attention and willingness to help of the staff and owner is totally worth it... But at least my bed was squicking all night long even if i moved the neck a bit, so for people with light sleep like me it was a rough night. I would totally come back to the place tho... just a little maintenance might be needed for the wooden bunks

It was ok, the room smelled funny, wouldn’t choose it again. The staff were warm and friendly but misunderstood us and directed us incorrectly. That was frustrating. The place was clean and comfortable besides the strange room smell and poor lighting. It’s what I would expect for the price.

Highly recommend this hostel for anyone staying around the Fuji area! As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed by the friendly staff, who all spoke English. I was shown a tour of the hostel which was helpful and got to choose which bed to stay in (tip - don't sleep next to the dehumidifier, it's got a constant hum, the hostel is not to blame for this!). Michael was very helpful when providing info and tips about climbing Mount Fuji, without his guidance I wouldn't have been able to climb. Nice and quiet area which has good transport links within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the private room which was comfortable and big enough. Has room for your bags, fridge and aircon. Staff speak English and are friendly. Has a cool restaurant down below that you can play darts or just chill. Hostel is super close to the station. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Be brave and go into non English ones! Walking distance to Fuji Q highland- no need to bus. 711 just Down the road

Start by understanding you are booking a hostel, and then prepare to be presently surprised when you arrive. The staff spoke English like a first language and was very helpful beyond what is required just for an overnight stay. The bathroom and showers were very clean and they even have a small laundry. The location is very convenient near the rail station. They only nit i have is the mattress could have used a bit more cushion, but when I compare what I got with what I paid the value was amazing.

I complained about the long hairs stuck on the blanket. Even though my room was a private room, I was exposed to noise even after midnight. I made a reply for my stay. And then I received a mail from the owner, Michael, who said to me aggressively. He asked me why I did not say to his staff for the dirty blanket and the noise. I scolded me for not complaining for the problem right away and not for staying at a hotel for a quiet room. Other hostels provide quiet private rooms even though they are not hotels. I have never seen such a rude owner before.
