Came here for what was originally supposed to be just a night before hitting up Nara and Kyoto, but ended up staying here for the larger part of a week. Very well located and cheap, but it was the people and the atmosphere that really compelled me to stay longer.

We stayed in Peace House Suzunami for 2 nights in a private room, and suffice to say it was a great experience. Showers and kitchen were shared, but we had an ensuite toilet. Beds were comfortable, and the common lounge was a good place to hang out and watch TV.

If you are a backpacker and need a place to sleep and shower, no more no less, this is the place for you. The place has a nice vibe to it, a very carefree place. Do not book if you are picky about cleanliness or the condition of facilities. Quite pricey for what you get but overall a good experience.

The most terrible place in my life. Even the first time, the fee is ¥30 around. I paid ¥1000(still cheap tho,I know, but it’s not the problem). And smell was just disgusting,I had have to pay for taking shower,no amenities at all. Just close to Tennoji station. That can be deserved to given 1star.

Good location with regards to transportation. Within 5 minute walk to Tennoji Station. This is especially useful when planning movement to an from the airport. Also Tennoji Station is well connected to the Kansai region. The hostel is next to Tennoji Park and Zoo. There is also an Art Museum nearby. If you are into love hotels, you're in luck as the hostel is surrounded by them. The hostel is operated by an international staff. Sometimes when I'm at the common room, I'm unsure who's a guest and who's a hostel staff. Perhaps it would be good to make the hostel staff more identifiable. Like wearing a name tag or an armband, or a vest that states "Peace House Suzunami" on the back so that guests, especially newly arrived ones can distinguish easily who's who and seek help from the right person should they need anything.

Very good location in the center of the city but not in crowed and busy. Train station is near for going to other cities in Kansai. Good and helpful staffs. Good vibe for backpackers if you can speak English, all staffs and most of tourists are westerners. Room, toilet and share bathrooms are cleaned but room can be cleaner. I stayed in female dorm, roommates are good people but I am easy to wake up so I have never had a tight sleep in my trip. So if you have sleeping problem don't stay in share dorm. I will absolutely stay again here when I go to Osaka.

There's no way this should be a $125/night hotel. I know this is Osaka, but come on. First off, nobody will have a clue where this is. Get off at JR Tennoji station and walk across the street. Look for a bunch of lit signs of the other hotels close to it; the one right next door is "Love Inn." There's a few pieces of white printer paper taped to the front of one building that says "Guest House Suzunami," not "Peace House Suzunami." Read the poorly written e-mail they'll send you a week or so in advance; you'll have to punch in a code to get into the building. There were holes in the walls. Multiple, gaping holes. I found exposed wiring. Wallpaper was peeling, and there were strange gouges in the wallpaper. The cold water knob was broken. Part of the floorboards were exposed; you could see the plywood underneath the carpet. The sheets either were very old or hadn't been washed in a while - I found somebody's pubic hair on my bed. I mean, I've finally gotten used to the idea of pubes and that people must have them, but I still don't want to see strangers' pubes on my bed. Staff was strange. There was one guy who at least tried to be hospitable. The other guy just seemed startled that there were people staying at this place. The woman there was just really curt and unprofessional. When we told her there was no toilet paper, she just sat there and said, "Well, there should be toilet paper." She was also sitting on the welcome counter with her butt pressed against the window.
