Like others who have reviewed Old Age, we found the food to be outstanding. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was always the same, with a nice salad, soup, and very good sausage. The bread was excellent, too. Dinner was the same both nights, but again very good, the fish dish being especially delicious.
Also, as others have noted, the room was very small and lacked space for our suitcases. The bathroom was quite possibly the smallest we have ever experienced in Japan - and we lived in Japan before and have been making three week trips annually for the past 20 years. Nevertheless we loved Old Age and are recommending it to our friends.

清里バレエ鑑賞のために宿泊しました。会場である萌木の村はすぐ横にあるので立地的に大変便利でした。
朝夕食付でしたが、いずれも手が込んでいてとってもおいしかったです。またバレエ鑑賞の機会があったら是非宿泊したいです。

暖炉のある趣味の良いロビーが素晴らしいホテルでした。コロナの影響で宿泊者が我々夫婦のみであった為、他のゲストに気兼ねなく最高の環境を堪能させて頂きました。夕食や朝食も、味と見た目両方で満足です。スタッフもフレンドリーで、ずっと滞在したくなりました。建物が少し古く、建て付けの悪い所が有りましたが、それさえも個性と受け止める事が出来る、そんなホテルでした。

Like others who have reviewed Old Age, we found the food to be outstanding. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was always the same, with a nice salad, soup, and very good sausage. The bread was excellent, too. Dinner was the same both nights, but again very good, the fish dish being especially delicious.
Also, as others have noted, the room was very small and lacked space for our suitcases. The bathroom was quite possibly the smallest we have ever experienced in Japan - and we lived in Japan before and have been making three week trips annually for the past 20 years. Nevertheless we loved Old Age and are recommending it to our friends.

比較的近くにいくつか温泉があるので、それらに行くことを想定しているのか、部屋にはバルタオルやタオルがありませんでした。トイレはウォシュレットではありません。薄いドアで遮音性が低いです。このような点から快適性は高くありません。

オーナーさんも気さくな方で、アットホームな雰囲気。

清里、萌木の村には年に数回訪れます。2020年8月９日にオールドエイジさんは初めて泊まりました。看板を曲がるとイングリッシュガーデンの中にホテルはあります。1階にはレストラン、フロント、ラウンジがありとても落ち着いた良い雰囲気でした。オーナーはなかなか楽しく、親切なお人柄、星のお話などしてくれました。ファミリールームに泊りました。部屋は広く、ステンドグラスの窓で開けると緑色のガーデンが一望できました。夜はベランダから星座が見えました。夕食はフルコースで、味、香り、盛り付けなど大変満足できるものでした。ぜひまた行きたいです。

良く手入れされたお庭、こじんまりとした建物、アンティーク調の内装など、英国風の雰囲気漂い、非日常感が素敵なホテルです。
フロントでコーヒーを淹れて本棚の本を眺めたり、お庭のブランコに揺られたり、とてもリラックスできました。
お料理も美味しく、特に新鮮なお野菜とパリパリに焼かれたお魚のソテー、ホテルのラベルが貼られたハウスワインが印象に残りました。
今回は一泊でしたが、もう少しゆっくり滞在を楽しみたいと思えるホテルでした。清里に行く時はまたお世話になります。

素敵な雰囲気のホテルでした。誰でも見学できるイングリッシュガーデンがあり、雰囲気はアットホームなイギリスの小さなお家といった感じ。（宿泊するお部屋自体はそこまで英風ではありませんでしたが。）
小さいですがお部屋にお風呂もついていて安心でした。車で5~10分のところには、ホテルの割引が利く温泉施設もあったので、とてものんびりすることができました。
朝ごはんもとてもおいしい！ 焼き立てのパン、サラダ、クラムチャウダー、立派なソーセージ、温泉卵、ヨーグルト…朝からおなか一杯になってしまいました。
萌木の村のすぐ近くで、駅までも徒歩圏内、立地としては車で来られていない方にも比較的便利な場所ではないでしょうか。歩いてすぐの場所にコンビニなどはありませんが、ミネラルウォーターのボトルを頂けるので、それもありがたかったです。
