The Quintessa is an older hotel but comfortable with good value. My queen double was spacious and had a great view from the large windows. Breakfast is above average with a focus of Japanese dishes. The hotel is a great departure point to explore the canals around the City Hall and Ogaki Castle. There are 29 natrual springs in Ogaki, 3 are located in front of the station. Nobody drinks from them--but they were the highlight of my trip. The water is cold and sweet! I filled up my water bottle every day.

The staff was great. Close to the station and a convent store haft a block away. The room size was also on the bigger size.

Had drank finished my room complimentary bottle water. After dinner before going up to room, I went to the front desk to request for a bottle of mineral water. Was shocked that the front desk staff told us to drink from the tap. If don’t like can buy from vending machine.

This is a pretty typical Japanese business hotel. What put me off is that the staff was thoroughly convinced that I had not paid the cost of the hotel even though I showed them my confirmation email from Expedia (and translated it to Japanese) which said "...credit card charged in full". I had to call Expedia so that Expedia could call the hotel just to confirm that the account was paid. This was a pain. I'd actually not recommend this hotel. Ogaki is quite boring anyway.

客室も綺麗、スタッフの対応も満足、唯一駐車場が狭く、少し離れた場所に駐車することになった。特に良かった点は、喫煙ルームが使えたこと。
