Breakfast was great. Enjoyed the private family bath with Sauna. The room was a little smaller than expected.

I like the private family hot spring. Very roomy and quiet. And I like the idea that there are many different colours and patterns of bath robes to choose.

Remote but wonderdul. The only downside that I can think of is that it has no public elevator for this two floor facility so it might be inconvenient for elders.

The place was nice and clean. Every staff was very nice and polite although we brought our one year old baby.

Nice hotel on the seaside, Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice meal and lovely decoration.

A quiet gem.. good location.... quiet area... staff is good... rooms are clean..... onsen though in another building but has a great view - not too elaborate and not too shabby - it was just right...

loved everything about it. got a chance to wear a japanese robe set around the hotel during breakfast and dinner time. the staff was friendly and very helpful. on our last day, we requested their car to drop us off to the near by train station, which was minutes away.

Outstanding staff. Very attentive. Great baths, private and public (separate men and women). View the ocean from outside public bath. Fabulous authentic Japanese breakfast and dinner, a highlight. Also went to a great local Yakitori Restaurant on hotel staff recommendation. Rooms were comfortable with lovely view of the beach and ocean. Room was a little bit aging for the price. Hotel decor generally was very good with excellent flower arrangements (Ikebana) and local pottery. A good place to relax. Nothing much around in the local town, but the town of Karatsu only a short train ride away, with pottery shops, castle etc.

Clean room. Very nice breakfast and dinner. Onsen is kind of small but it does have a nice ocean view.

Delicious 8 course dinner. Self-serve open bar. Extremely friendly staff and gorgeous decor. Open air onsen is to die for. Rooms are spacious and inviting. All of this for a more affordable price than nearby ryokans. Beautiful yukatas set the mood. Within walking distance to JR line. I wish I would have booked a longer stay!

A very enjoyable stay out of several hotels along my 2 weeks Japan trip. Modern ryokan style accommodation.

Very nice for the osen, both the family room and the public one. Quiet and clean. The yukata is cute!

The room was large and spacious with nice ocean view overlooking the beach.

The hotel looks fabulous in photos and is a great price on expedia, but is really let down by the possibly the worst staff and service levels in the whole of Japan. It seems the hotel management is run by amateurs that have not been trained in Japanese levels of service. When we arrived we got a less than a warm welcome, shown to our room (that was very pleasant) but had to walk past many staff and cleaners who did not try to stop to let us by. This was then followed by late lunch which my wife found 3 plastic tags in her fish, we called a waitress who never sincerely apologised but just took the food back to the kitchen. After about 5 mins she came back and explained that the tags were not put in the dish by my wife or the hotel but were a mistake from the fish market, again no real apology. My wife then spoke to the hotel managent at the front desk who did not seem to care either, even when we cancelled our reservation for dinner. The onsen was nice but badly cleaned, each time I visited the outside bath over a two day period, it seemed previous guests had taken off large bandaids and left them in the water. When we checked out we had to again walk past the hotel staff and cleaning trollys, who seem not to care there were customers trying to struggle past and down a long flight of stairs with large bags. In summary a beautiful hotel let down by staff and management that should focus on their service level and customer care.

해수탕이 좋아서 몇년에 걸쳐 세번째 방문이었습니다. 점점 시설이 낙후 되는게 느껴지네요. 청결에 조금 더 신경써야 할 것 같습니다. 직원분들은 매우 친절하세요. 체격좋으신 남자 직원분의 친절함에 감동 받았어요!
