Unfortunately there was only green tea and no coffee in the rooms, however, the chef sells coffee during breakfast for 100 yen which was nice to have.

Great hotel close to the station.
The staff is really amazing.
The rooms are simple yet very good. Great Internet connection even for video calls.
The free breakfast was just amazing (you can bring it up your room if you want)
Just make sure not tk book a smoking room if you don't smoke like I did... But if you do, they have sprays that help with the smell!

スタッフの皆さんとても優しくて、笑顔で出迎えて下さいました。小雨の中、少し早めの到着したので、カウチで待たせて下さいとお伝えしたところ、空室の部屋があるようなのでどうぞチェックインして下さいと温かいお言葉を頂き、早めに部屋を使わせて頂きました。市内中心部で、駅や大型商業施設2つから徒歩圏内ですし、7月には目の前にスターバックスがオープンする様です。朝食も、素敵な笑顔のお母さんが優しく出迎えてくれましたし、炊きたてのご飯をよそっていただきました。眠気の中で食事を始めましたが、とても素敵な気分で1日を始められた事に感謝しています。とってもお薦めするホテルです。

The hotel was very clean, spacious, and the staff very kind and polite. For people travelling, the staff speaks english very well, so check in and out is easy.
As a guest, you are given a complimentary drink/food item every day, from a pre set menu; there is alcohol on this menu for those that are wondering.
There is also a complimentary breakfast at their restaurant right next to the concierge. It is a traditional style breakfast, that includes Miso soup, natto, rice, tamago, salad, pork sausage, and fish. Drinks are refillable.
Overall great place to stay. Toyooka is a small but peaceful city, so the train is within walking distance, as is everything else.

I stayed here for easy local bus access to Izushi castle town. The staff were very welcoming and on arrival you get to choose 2 free items from the ‘mini bar’ (beer, soft drink, chocolate, chips). The hotel is very functional. I had a double bed room and I think you could squeeze (and I mean squeeze) two small suitcases and still be able to walk in the room.
The bed was typically very firm but the more European pillows were soft. Hallway and other room noise (TVs) comes under the door but as the clientele seemed to be be mostly Japanese and very respectful, it was quiet around 10pm. The set Japanese breakfast is very filling. If you are on a budget, Sky Hotel is a good base for day trips (12min local train, Y200) to Kinosaki-onsen.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The staff is so friendly. They offered me a beverage when I arrived. My only disappointment is that the only room left was a smoking room. Unfortunately, having rooms that allow smoking is still a thing in Japan.

A nice little hotel not too far from the train station. The single room is quite spacious, the staff is friendly and helpful. They give out a selection of gifts (food, snack, drinks) for every night you stay. A nice touch!
A great alternative to stay if you are going to Kinosaki Onsen and can't find a reasonably priced place to stay.

We have just visited Kinosaki Onsen town twice! When I was looking the cost of accommodation there was very expensive so I went for staying in Toyooka which is nearby - two train stops to be exact. We stayed at the Toyooka Sky Hotel for around $90US per night.
This worked out well as we could easily catch a train to Kinosaki and back. It takes about 15 minutes each way. We did this the two days we were there.
While there I visited two Onsens. The first was Goshonoyu Bath at 800 yen was excellent. The second was Jizoyu bath and at 600 yen was a bit more basic. Both were good experiences though and worth trying. One visit per day was enough for me!
Kinosaki is fantastic to visit and you can easily spend a day or two looking around.
We very much enjoyed this part of our trip.

Reception probably spoke the most amount of English for a "business" hotel in Japan. Approximately 5-10 minutes walk from JR Toyooka station, they have bike rentals for free. Each day you get a free present! Which is a snack or a drink. Breakfast was good.

It's a stay for me to enjoy kinosaki onsen. However, I spent some time walking around the town of Toyooka and really enjoyed charming little town. You get a feel a normal little town life of Japan and I liked the few local attractions I visited (temples, park, river bank, streets). It's about 15 minute train ride to Kinosaki onsen and make sure you can the last train back (10PM-ish).
