Rio Eco Gardens

The property was clean and the breakfast was good. The room was spacious. The table under the tv was broken and the door on the bathroom did not shut all the way. When it was open you couldn't get to the light switch. We had booked a superior suite and it described 2 queen beds. When we arrived they offered us 2 rooms, on different floors. When asked if they were identical we were told yes, but when we got to our room we had one queen bed and one single bed. Luckily our son was just short enough to sleep on the couch. Overall our stay was fine, it was a single night. There are restaurants within walking distance and one on the property. The staff didn't tell the kitchen that there were 4 of us and breakfast was made at our requested time. About 10 minutes after seating us a server came out and said the chef only cooked 2 breakfasts because they were not told there were 4 of us, but that same server had seated us. He seemed to be trying to have us say not to worry about it, but we clarified we needed 4 meals. The food was good and good sized portions when it came. Having to book a time for breakfast was a little strange when the booking gave a time range for breakfast. The restaurant looks on to a nice grassed area with exotic birds roaming the property. Overall a good experience. Could use some more attention to detail on the finishes and painting of the property.

The staff was truly helpful in the rooms were very comfortable and spacious for our needs. It was nice to be able to all gather in the dining area and the courtyards down below even in the rainy weather. I would recommend booking to get the breakfast, it was amazing and really started our day great.
