The best location in town. Stayed here many years ago, and was happy to be back, and see the hotel stoll in a great shape. If you look for location, do not look any further, this is THE one. The facility is welcoming, clean, excellent staff, good breakfast. Although my room lucked views, it was large and well appointed. Didn't like: 1. Hard pillows, my definite recommendation for the hotel - get better pillows, i hurt my neck after a night's sleep, and, 2. Need a bigger TV with a couple of english language channels. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a fabulous time here. The location is excellent a few minutes from the night market and Wat Xieng Thong. The alms giving was a few steps from the impressive frontage of the colonial building but we couldn't get up at 5:30 to see it. Our Jr suite was luxurious and we really liked the decor which suited the colonial era building. The staff couldn't have been more helpful -lending us towels when we went to the waterfalls and arranging a taxi to the airport when we left. It was 35 degrees whilst we were there so the plunge pool in a courtyard at the back was very welcome as was the free use of the pool at the Santi Resort, a 20 minute, free shuttle away! I really don't know why the hotel don't advertise this link more widely as it is a major perk and makes the Villa Santi an even more desirable place to stay.

Villa Santi is located in a perfect spot - situated on the main street in the old town, surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. The Mekong River, Temples, Royal Palace and Night Market are only a few minutes walk away. All the staff there are very friendly and helpful.
