Doubletree Resort by Hilton Penang

Stay was good but the room Key was not working and it cause inconvenience. Wherever I go out the door won’t work and have to wait for security to help

Friendly staff (especially those in the restaurant), our stay were very good except the gym condition as the clean-up schedule doesn't seem to be keeping up and our time in the gym were always without towels.

All staff are excellent. We had a lovely stay here for three nights. Food is really very good with much choice. If we are in Penang we will definitely come here again.

Information provided was extremely misleading. Quality was so bad that it should never be recommended to your hotels.com customers at all. No hot water, even faucet was broken, dirty bathroom, yellowish tower with smell, everything else were deteriorating. Customer service was equally poor.

Breakfast too much carbohydrates, less protein option.

The Hilton Double Tree is a quiet and clean property with great staff located just a short 10 min drive from the busier Natu Ferringhi area. This is a great property for families with children and there are family rooms (connecting doors) available. There is a small beach across from the hotel that is quiet but suitable for beach activities.

Peaceful location

We booked a family stay for six people at the DoubleTree Penang and, while there were some positives, our overall experience was disappointing. Positives: • The complimentary family dinner offered after the first night’s incident was thoughtful and much appreciated. • Staff were polite in their written replies and eventually tried to follow up by phone. Concerns: • Despite booking for six, we arrived to find only there were less towels, amenities and the sofa bed in our room had not been made up. • We raised these issues with the front desk on the first day, yet they were still not resolved the following morning. • Because our “actual rooms” were not ready after the first night’s incident, we had to pack and unpack more than once. This took away valuable time from our short family trip. • When we expressed our disappointment, the initial response felt generic and failed to address the inconvenience. Only after we pushed again did the team ask what they could do to help. The staff eventually reached out and asked how they might improve our stay, but the repeated delays and the need for us to chase basic standards left a lasting negative impression. Overall, while individual staff members were courteous, the service and attention to detail fell well below the level we expected from a DoubleTree property. We hope management reviews their processes so future guests don’t have to go through similar disruptions.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of delightful. At check-in, we discovered that our reservation had inadvertently been made with breakfast for one adult and one child. The front desk staff, however, handled the matter with remarkable professionalism and courtesy, immediately rectifying the error without imposing any additional charge. This gracious gesture set a truly positive tone for the remainder of our visit. Throughout our stay, the service was exemplary, the ambiance refined, and every detail carefully attended to. Genuine hospitality of this caliber is rare, and we are deeply appreciative of the team’s efforts in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in search of exceptional service, elegant surroundings, and a memorable experience

The first room that we went into was ok but very dirty and smelt like mould, did not expect that from Hilton, as the name does associate to the room standard Then we were given a different room, good room all was nice but dirty floor, hair in fridge, main door not shutting properly, cabinet with fridge in it rotting from the legs, water dripping from ceiling due to condensation, again don’t go with the name please The lobby and swimming pool area is amazing though.

No regret to pick this hotel. Everything out of our expectations, hotel, room, front desk and restaurant. People extremely friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Reasonable stay at this hotel, they had kids club & a pool. Breakfast was ok but had limited western options but it is in Malaysia! Location isn’t great as to go up to Batu Ferringhi you would need a car or taxi

Aircon is shocking. Room felt damp. Black mould on vents and in room on lamp shade. Staff are pleasant. Facilities need upgrading

Food was ok. They never change the sheet, i stayed 4 days. The pic they advertise not the same with what was given, no carpet, room dirty and had an old dingy odor.

Breakfast buffet is not diverse in choices.

Stayed there for 3 nights but decided to check out after night 2. Penang in general wasnt impressive. Hotel was in a good location next to a beach but a good 25-30 mins drive from Georgetown. Breakfast was lackluster. We went for dinner one night at the restaurant Makan Kitchen. Food was 3 out of 4 stars. Food was average.

Far from Georgetown and not much to do at the property. Limted meal options and F&B required improvement in terms of food quality and room seevice. Staff at the main restaurant Makan were fantastic and well trained.

Very friendly and welcoming. Great place to stay.

We were there during the school holidays. Front office staff were very accommodating and pleasant.Dealing with a long line of people checking in. It was a pleasant stay.
