Highly recommend. This property is clean, updated and in a great location that is walkable to major attractions, restaurants and easy to get transportation. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Wish all our hotels were like this one!

It was wonderful and the staff was exceptional. Unfortunately the last night the pipe which serviced water in our bathroom had a leak and thus we had no water for a shower or to flush the toilet

Kato and all of the staff were amazing! Such a warm and inviting environment to be staying in. Our room was great, so close to all the things in Valletta. Don't hesitate to book here

Love!!! Jessica at the front desk went above and beyond. Pinoy Street Food nearby is the bomb. It was Notte Bianca when I stayed and I could barely hear the festivities in my room. Only complaint was the tiny shower area of the deluxe room.

A little bit hard to find but they gave excellent instructions. Beautiful little place, quiet, clean, safe.

The property is beautiful and there are a lot of extras provided. Breakfast was phenomenal and the Americano's are amazing

The staff, especially Dahy, were very helpful and accommodating. We stayed here twice within two weeks and both stays were very enjoyable. Rooms are comfortable and very well furnished.

We had a wonderful experience from check in to check out. Very clean and comfortable room with well appointed bathroom. Our check in was seamless and Amal was a standout member of the team who made us feel very welcome and provided us with really useful information about what to do and where to eat. Very happy with our stay and highly recommend the hotel.

No outside window made the room very dark so wouldn’t stay again. Staff were lovely and so was breakfast but no facilities and not made aware of whether we could use facilities in sister hotel. Superb location for sites and restaurants and bars though.

Super friendly staff great location and super quite rooms

We had a little hiccup with our room initially and the reception staff dealt with it immediately and decisively. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming nothing is too much trouble they make this a fabulous place to stay

The bathroom was immaculate, well-lit, and regularly serviced, adding to the comfort of my stay. The hotel's unique hydration stations – available in the room, just outside, and at the entrance – were a fantastic touch, ensuring I stayed refreshed throughout my visit. The continental breakfast was delicious and super filling, providing a great start to my day. One of the highlights was the detailed map and thorough explanation of places to visit in Valletta and across Malta provided by the staff. Their local insights were invaluable and truly enhanced my trip. In summary, the AX Saint John Hotel is a perfect blend of modern luxury and impeccable service. Whether you are visiting for a special occasion or just need a relaxing getaway, this hotel delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again. 10/10.

ideal for overnight stay before early flight home

This place is fantastic. Well placed for everything. Rooms extremely comfortable ( mine was 504) had its own balcony, the only one, and was nice to sit out. Not the best views but you can see the med and several nice spires. Staff are amazingly kind and helpful. This is not the cheapest but I feel is the best.
