Grand Bay Suites

In general the property needs some care and attention. The pool was good, always clean, and serviced daily, however the surrounding terraces were a bit uneven and there were screwhwads protruding. The person in charge (owner?) was pleasant and reasonably helpful

The building is dated and the refrigerator leaked, but the staff was wonderful and the place clean. It is very conveniently located to everything in Grand Baie.

Suited my needs studio appart, convenient location

Good location. Local to supermarket and restaurants & short walks to the beach. Only downside WiFi only reaches balcony.

You get what you pay for. These are a great price for space and location. They are a little tired and there's a lack of sunbeds, but overall great value for money. Beware the overspill from the clubs nearby - outside with very loud music til 6am one morning. But that's not the property's fault. The dogs are noisy but not aggressive.

The flats are next to a very busy road with morning and evening heavy traffic and next to three discos with a lot of weekend night actions and noise. The flats are spacy and awere nicely build but meanwhile lack repair and maintenance and thus appear to be rundown.

Large rooms with nice pool area.Staff were pleasant Hotel showing its age in a rundown area. Large number of stray dogs barking at all hours.

Property was as per expected / reviews etc were quite accurate - it is probably the lowest cost to stay in Grand Baie - got to say Monday the cleaner made an exceptional effort to make it as clean as possible. Property needs investment but it is good for my purpose - only issue that cant be helped is the echo from guests being amplified. Wifi - not really useful unless in reception.

We stayed at the appartement style accommodation for 15 nights and we know the location well as we lived there - here is some recommendations before you decide to book there: Internet is only available from the lobby For the whole stay TV was not functioning When we mentioned to the staff about the issues the service started to be lacking. Missing towels for the bathroom - cuttlery washed negligently - bed sheets exchange not as usual. Above all difficult to sleep on Saturdays as the nightclub nearby was too noisy until 2am.

Exactly as described. very clean and manager very helpful. Good location within walking distance everywhere we wanted to go.

Very comfortable and easy making reservations with the manager Ram. They need a good sign out on the road for the suites. Supermarket next door handy if you wanted to eat in as there is a decent kitchen and balcony in each suite.

Hotel has a comfortable feel, nice pool, good location, all amenities and if they don't have they will get it for you. The staff was excellent and very accommodating.

Nice location if you want to be near the beaches in Grand Bay. Otherwise somewhat inconvenient if you want to visit other parts of the island. Nice to be next door to a supermarket and across the street from a football field, too. The manager went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable, even letting me relax in my room the final day until 5 pm, since my flight out was late in the evening! There was a bit of a bug problem - not unexpected in tropical climates, really. The place was not in the best of shape, but it suited my needs and was a good bargain.

Does not reflect the marketing. Looks much better online. A/C didn’t work, sink was leaking, blinds were broken, lots of noise at night. Manager became fairly agitated when I informed him of these issues. We checked out 5 days early to avoid staying at this disappointing property.

We travelled with our young son and found GBS to be perfect for our needs. The rooms are spacious and the air conditioning works very well. All of the staff were absolutely lovely & the daily housekeeping was always prompt and very thorough. We had a small issue with our shower which was fixed so quickly. Great location next to Supermarket 2000 with a little one. Would definitely stay here again

Good convenient location

I trust and I have always believed that I do not need to question whether a hotel or accommodation suggested in your wedsite (Hotel.com) would be of any fraud of any sort. I arrived at Grand Bay Suites on the 12th January 2019 as planned. Note - I have never really given any negative feedback for the years I have used Hotel.com as my travelling guide to where I will be staying. To my horrors, all was fine until I was shown into my room. The room was not very clean to begin with, the smell of humid and dullness in the air, fine switching on the airconditioning would help, the worst came when I went into the bathroom. Excuse my words here but it was disgustingly dirty. The water outlet where you take a shower is black and you can see the thick layer that should be washed on a chromed surface. It was really bad. I was about to go to bed and the sheets were stained. I checked out the next morning as I felt disappointed as it was not a business trip but my own personal holiday after more than 15 years not taking one. The stars that represent the status of the hotels etc, do you ever check it yourself or you simply take the feedback given with no clue whether it was true or just plain simple, there is a feedback and it should suffice. I wanted to call and thought to myself, how can I as I had no real excess to wifi as it did not exist in the room and there was no tel and no real means of communication. It was pointless to get angry with the staff. Holiday ruined.

Very smooth transfer from the airport. Great pool, handy location nextdoor to supermarket and nearby to one of the nicer public beaches in the area. Apartment not very well equipped and leaky shower screen.
