The hotel was very comfortable and a short walk from the center of downtown. The staff were the most friendly and helpful with a shout out to Charley, Carlos, Jose and Firez. Breakfast was amazing with good variety.

Ébano by PB is an awesome hotel. The architecture is beautiful with an inner courtyard. Excellent service from the staff, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very tasty; many options from which to choose. My faves were the teas, green juice, oatmeal with berries and scrambled eggs with chorizo ... all served at your table in that lovely courtyard. Our room was spacious, beautiful and the bathroom had a jetted tub and an excellent shower! Nice amenities, very clean and we felt very safe in the hotel and in Oaxaca. It's such a lovely city to visit. We highly recommend this hotel!!!

Our room was clean, the AC worked great. All the staff was courteous and very attentive to our needs. We stayed out late and didn't wake up for breakfast on time. However, our stay was very pleasant and we would come back to this hotel.

The location is excellent, near the cathedral and where a lot of activity is. The room is very nice. The hotel is very quiet. The staff has been very helpful in finding activities and making reservations

Fantastic historic place oozing with charm. Staff is wonderful, always courteous and willing to help. So great to get back from a long walk around town to a glass of fresh juice (agua). This is my second time in 2 years and I know that I will be back yet again

The staff and location of the hotel were its best features; otherwise, the hotel has not been updated in a long time. The rooms are old and outdated.

I cannot recall ever having received such kind, attentive service from hotel staff. Right from arrival through to our departure five days later, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times/hours with everything from sightseeing and transportation advice to offering a complimentary umbrella during a rain storm. This exceptional level of service helped make our stay special. Entrance to the hotel was always immediate and a good level of security was evident at all times. The location is excellent (right near the Santa Domingo church) with the zocalo within a five minute walk. There is significant street/bar noise. With windows/blinds closed, the noise is not too intrusive, but on Friday/Saturday night, the pumping bass from a nearby rooftop intrudes until quite late (our room was adjacent to the main entrance on the street). The room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay with a comfy bed, great A/C, but the bathrooms are getting a little in need of a reno. The rooftop patio is lovely with great views of the surrounding city. The simple included continental breakfast was basic (bread, pastry, fruits, fruit juice, coffee/tea) but tasty and nicely presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

the attentiveness and attention to detail is amazing. Carlos was great. Always giving us tips and recommendations of where to eat and where to visit. staying at this location makes me want to go back to Oaxaca many more times.

The building itself is lovely & incredibly well located. And, Carlos the concierge couldn’t have been more amenable. But the rooms were not great & I would not book again.

Standard room is lower in price but subpar. It is located at the top floor through multiple stairs. Room is plain and closer to a 2-3 star hotel. Noise level can be high given bars across the street (very loud on weekends). Continental breakfast is very basic, service is great but the few employees that seem to work overtime. For $200 the location, and bed, clean bathroom is ok. More expensive rooms at the $350 mark merit a better look at other hotels like the Quinta Real. Disappointing.

Our stay at Palacio Borghese Hotel Boutique was truly exceptional, with impeccably clean and well-appointed rooms, a friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to cater to our needs, and a prime location that allowed us to easily explore the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Oaxaca.
