Bartolome Oceanfront Suites

The first part of our experience was the friendly and informative greeting we had a check-in. The room was clean with a nice balcony. It is Oceanfront not beachfront meaning no beach but it is close. The restaurant staff is friendly and accommodating with good food. A small pool is nice and refreshing. Quite an enjoyable 9 day stay.

Hidden gem

This is our second year staying here in November. The room is clean with a mini fridge and a safe. A few minor things that could improve are: the beds are super hard; provide larger safes (they are very small); have luggage racks, and offer pool towels. Something to keep in mind that is not the hotel's fault is that the marina restaurant attached to the hotel was very wishy-washy about when they are open for dinner. They tell you they are open until 8pm, but the first night we went down at 7:22, we were told serving drinks only (ok, I can under that), so we walked to Hildago. The second night went down at 7:02, and we were told again that the kitchen was closed, serving drinks only, and we would have to go to the sports bar for wings/pizza/nachos. I love the restaurant's ceviche, so when asked what time we needed to arrive to eat. Then they said we could eat. Once we sat down, we had great service, ate, and were gone by 7:35. Nothing that will prevent me from returning, just good things to keep in mind.

This is our second time staying and again it didn’t disappoint. Very clean, friendly staff, and overall a great experience again.

Our stay was perfect here. Would definitely recommend. Staff was friendly and attentive. On a busy street though we are used to noise back home. No complaints

Great location. Great view. Great floorplan in room #1. The only negative was there wasn't a place to park a golf cart. You had to walk about two blocks. But that wasn't a biggie for us.

Nice place to stay for a few days on Isla. Basic room with water view. Convenient bar and restaurant below. No night security.

This place is clean, spacious and a great view of the marina. It is very close to the ferry which also means it is very busy. The property sits upstairs from their restaurant and marina. However, I wouldn’t call it a hotel. Like other reviewers mentioned, it is just a large room lined upstairs with a bedroom door. There’s another door to the bedroom which keeps the noise out. There is a person at the front desk only when you check in. Other than that, they are gone. You can message if you need anything and the guy is very helpful. But no one is there and the door to the property is always unlocked. They say there’s security but I didn’t see anyone. If you are concerned about this, this is not the place for you. Also, no elevators so if you have suitcases you need to carry them up and down. The guy was nice enough to carry ours up upon arrival. We had issues w the TV and the guy tried to fix it. Unfortunately it still didn’t work and we didn’t want to bother him as we had a short 2 night stay here. It is about 15 min walk to north beach. It is a convienent area as banks, restaurants, the ferry and golf cart rentals are steps away. It is also clean but don’t expect hotel service.

The room was very clean and roomy. The se vice from Ricardo was second to none! The views are great, from what seems like every balcony! Having the restaurant and pool is a wonderful bonus. Definitely worth the price of admission!

Great spot just steps from the ferry. A few minute walk to the Malecon to take in the sunrise; we enjoyed the sunset right from our balcony. Nice and simple room with good amenities - mini fridge, coffee pot (coffee provided!), mugs & spoons, microwave, comfy bed, shower with good pressure. Moped and golf cart rental place right across the street.

Wonderful spot, close to everything. Staff was very kind. Though it’s hard to find an unfriendly person in Isla. They even saved my clothing when I forgot some of it!

Ricardo at the front was welcoming and very helpful! The pools was tiny and part of the restaurant below, but we spent our time at the beach anyway! The room was very spacious and comfy.

The suites are a 3 minute walk from the ferry and located on the busiest road on the island. The suites face toward the water and you really don't hear the traffic. Balcony is large and room is spacious. Water pressure and temperature are great (not as common as you might think). Bonus: sandwich and coffee shop downstairs in building was reasonable and high quality compared to similar spots on Isla.

You have to go on the street and through the restaurant to get to the pool. no pool towels are provided, and as travellers we didn’t have pool towels with us

Unlocked door, no lobby, no one works there regularly and the front doors of the rooms were about as heavy as an average house’s bedroom door with one little doorknob lock. If the island didn’t feel as safe as it did this would’ve been a nightmare scenario. Room couldn’t have been more basic with absolutely unusably tall pillows. You had to lock and unlock the balcony door with a key. It was a mediocre room for rent. Absolutely not worth the price I’m shocked by the good reviews we had friends staying in hostels that seemed more secure and a quarter of the price.

Lots of road noise but easy to drown out with white noise and shutting the inner door. This also helps keep the room cool.

Very clean and close to ferry/shops/restaurants. Staff were very polite and helpful
