What Guests Say About Their Stay

An unforgettable, one-of-a-kind stay at GlampIKAL – easily one of the best travel experiences ever. From the moment of arrival everything felt spotless and well cared for, from the tents to the common areas, which made the whole place feel both luxurious and close to nature at the same time. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely kind, always checking in, offering help, and making sure every little detail was taken care of without ever feeling intrusive. Staying near the beach was a highlight: waking up to the sound of the waves, stepping out onto soft sand, and enjoying a truly beautiful, uncrowded shoreline just a few steps from the tent. The whole property has a very unique atmosphere – it feels like a small seaside community where you can disconnect, relax, and still enjoy all the comforts you need. The food was excellent throughout the stay, with fresh, flavorful dishes that matched the quality of the setting, and the service in the restaurant was warm and efficient. Every interaction with staff reinforced how welcoming the place is; they were always helpful with requests and local tips, which made the experience even smoother. Overall, this was a very special experience that feels different from a typical hotel stay in the best possible way. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a clean, beautiful, and unique beach escape in Tulum – would absolutely return and encourage others to try it for themselves.

Right on the beach - nothing beats that. Catch the sunrise on the beach before the tourists visiting the national park enters, and stay after sunset...For the price, the room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. The shared bathrooms and showers are kept quite clean. Issues: wifi did not reach my room at all (but I can go by the restaurant for wifi or on the beach for 4G signal); the A/C did not work well, which was fine at night for my season (november), but don't plan on staying in during the day. You won't stay in. You'll be swimming in the sea.

This "Glamp" is in the National Park which is the first of many issues. The park is now militarized and run by the government. You must purchase a bracelet to ride the electric trams in the park approx. $25 US. I couldn't get an answer on how long it was good for.Secondly , if you want to venture out to town or on an excursion you must pay a daily fee of 120 pesos or $6.50 US. to be allowed back in to the resort you paid to stay at. The Military also patrols the beach on ATV's. Taxis are expensive and the quoted price can change when you arrive at your destination. The harassment while shopping near the Ruins and exit of the park is exhausting. Sellers will chase you down. Something odd is happening at Glamp Ikal as they used to be a partner to the more luxurious Ikal Hotel adjoining the property. There were very little staff on site. It was very unclear who was actually in charge daily. There were a few grounds men . After more than 5 trips to the check in area it was hard to find anyone. Upon arrival my friend and I were just taken to our separate tents. No orientation, wifi password or how to operate the AC. Warning: there are no handrails on the platforms of the elevated tents . Some of the steps are extremely steep and the distance between them is very uneven. I sprained my foot and ankle ten minutes upon arriving trying to navigate the tent's steps( pics available) . The tent I was given reeked of mold. There are dehumidifiers but guests can't use them.

Glamp Ikal is the closets you can get to total immersion into the wild. By the sea you will feel the wind ear the noise mesure the storm. No frill no fancy civilised gadgets, just a cabana by the beach. Staff is outstanding. Those guys will go their best with this rustic basic environment with minimalist amenities. Like most hotels in Tulum, this one embraces a spiritual and nature-centered atmosphere — which is truly beautiful. There’s a great pool, a stunning yoga and meditation center, and the surroundings are incredibly peaceful. The restaurant is on the expensive side, and service was a bit slow at times. Our cabin had A/C issues the first night, and it was uncomfortably hot — we couldn’t sleep. Thankfully, the staff moved us to a different cabin the next day, and everything went smoothly after that. The hotel is located inside a national park, and at first, I was a bit upset because we had to pay an entrance fee I wasn’t aware of. But that was totally on me. Once we explored the area, we realized the fee was actually worth it — we had access to free transportation within the park and got to enjoy beautiful landscapes and plenty of wildlife.

Had an amazing time at this unique, very tranquil resort. The food and drinks are double normal prices but we found other options in town. The beach, overall vibe, and daily yoga in the stunning ocean-view shala made it all worth it. The beds were very comfortable and the shared washrooms / showers were good - lots of hot water. I rented a bike from Ikal and rode to Gran Cenote which took about 30 minutes, 20 on a modern path and 10 on road side. Not for beginners. You can walk to ruins from Ikal. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GlamIKAL is located within a natural forest preserve and has gorgeous white sand beaches. The unit I stayed in was clean and nice and very close to the beach. Housekeeping was very hit or miss and you could hear the neighbors even lightly talking so I would recommend brining headphones and an eye mask. The pros: The meditation/yoga classes they are offer were great. If you are staying at GlampIKAL you receive one 200 peso class for free. The classes range from 200 to 350 pesos. They also offer a wide range of on campus and off campus healing modalities. The best thing I did on my trip was the Healing Sound Therapy at a Private Cenote in the jungle with Diego. Couldn't recommend it enough! The cons: The restaurant at IKAL is by far the worst restaurant I've been to in my life. The grounds of the hotel smelled rotten, like poorly draining sewage. The glamping tents are completely covered in mold.

The property is on a beautiful location of Tulum Beach, we really enjoyed the Yoga Class and beautiful beach nice and clean, but the property glamping was horrible the tent was dirty and broken they upgraded us to a better tent but the AC was not working and the bed had bedbugs
