Hotel Antigua Posada

We found the staff to be more than available to our needs. My wife asked for a hair dryer, iron and hangers for the closet and she was quickly answered with a smile and all were delivered in short order. The lady at the reception desk answered all of our inquiries with needed directness and honesty.

Un lugar lindo, Buena relación con el precio. Las personas muy amables. Es incómodo que no hay aire acondicionado y el baño necesitaba algo de mantenimiento por que tenía humedad. La alberca no estaba tan limpia y le faltaba mantenimiento, realmente no te puedes meter. El staff muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar.

The parking lot is not at the hotel, you have to walk a block and the street is not safe. The bathroom door in was broken. The bed was too old. Very disappointed. The staff very nice

El hotel le falta hacer unos arreglos , en servicio de TV fastidioso porque cada vez que le cambias de canal tienes que poner un código , le falta mantenimiento a piso del que fue mi cuarto lozeta algunas rotas , en si son habitaciones rústicas , pero si me gusto , distancia al centro es de 12 minutos no 6 .

El personal es muy amabale y atento, muy serviciales. El lugar es muy acojedor y tranquilo y todo esta cerca sin necesidad de algun tipo de transportacion. The personal there are really kind and helpful. The place is really nice and quiet everything nearby is walkable.

I loved the location of this charming little hotel! I could walk right outside and enjoy a pleasant, non-touristy neighborhood. This was my first trip back to Mexico in many years, and I feared the traditional "feel" of Mexican culture might be gone, but that was not the case here. Despite the pandemic, the area was full of small businesses, shops, and restaurants, all happy to serve visitors. The area was quiet at night, and the bed and pillows were comfy. The hot water in the shower took awhile but was adequate. The best part about the hotel were the staff members, who were friendly and helpful. On my first evening, I had visitors (friends from Cuernavaca), and the night clerk set up the room next to the reception area so we could sit together and share a carry-out meal. A staff member bought coffee each morning, so I could sit outside my room and enjoy the mild weather. On the morning of my departure, the desk clerk arranged a taxi to the Mexico City airport, which was something I wouldn't have wanted to do myself. I would definitely stay here again and would urge other folks to do the same.

Antigua Posada was friendly and the room was charming, and felt very safe. The street it is on was rather dismal in the dark, but no harm was done. There was a mistake with my bill which was solved quickly. The continental breakfast was disappointing, with no milk other than powdered for the coffee. Otherwise, no complaints.

Just a 5 min walk to historical center of town. Appreciated having Netflix in room. No coffee or breakfast (Mexican bread) available until 8:30 am.

Not much to look at from the street, but once inside you’ll see how inviting it truly is. A 5 minute walk To the Zocalo, even less to the bus station (if you are arriving by public transportation). Staff was friendly and property is well maintained. A personal note, our bed was very uncomfortable — felt like I was laying directly on hard springs (my husband didn’t mind, though). We requested Housekeeping to place a comforter under the bottom sheet and all was fine — we even booked an additional night! One of the reasons we booked this hotel was because it listed “laundry facilities” at the property. There were none — perhaps they were referring to the now closed laundry directly across the street? Nonetheless, we located a service very close to the zócalo that did a great, speedy job for very little cost. Our only criticism is that there is no coffee available before 8:30 AM. There is a cafe that opens at 7:00 a block down the street.

Close to old center of tje city. Easy walk. Hotel in older area but close to many sights. Took very few taxis.

Great hotel, location is far from the center or Cuernavaca, close to shopping malls, which we were not caring for but most visitors do. We could net get the staff to recycle our towels or give us the correct amount...besides that all PERFECT

The Hotel Antigua Posada is by far better looking inside than it is on the outside. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating, the rooms are cozy and clean and comes with a tour book of places to see in Cuernavaca including downtown's Palacio Cortes and Robert Brady's museum at only a few blocks away. The room we stayed has a lovely ground front terrace to sit at with a view of the open patio with trees, potted colorful plants and a few more tables with chairs leading to other guests rooms and the cornered pool, didn't find the small pool very inviting but other guests did. Free coffee and sweet breads for breakfast are brought to your terrace table upon request. Room has plenty of space to move around except in the restroom where it's a little tight with the toilet's being so close to the door. The queen size bed was comfy enough to immediately fall asleep but not for my mate. Unfortunately she found it to be uncomfortable all night.
