Great Location

We were in Comala for a couple of days and truly enjoyed our stay. There is so much to see and do and the people are very welcoming.

No wifi available, room was rundown, grounds were unkept. Not as nice as the photos indicate.

Very cozy and welcoming! East to check-in and out; would stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay in this charming, family run hacienda. The room was well appointed, the bed comfortable and the shower roomy and with good temperature. There was coffee in the room. Our only slight disappointment was lack of breakfast but we found a fantastic restaurant nearby. The location is just a short walk from the plaza, yet it was a quiet neighborhood. Perhaps best of all was a guided tour we took with Jupiter, the fantastically knowledgeable owner

Amazing place quiet comfortable and host was friendly and so helpful!!! Beds were so comfortable, room spacious and amenities such as coffee maker, coffee, sugar, cups and water were so appreciated!!!

El cuarto estaba bien y era lo que esperabamos de un pequeño hotel familar de 3 estrellas. Nada lujoso, pero todo limpio y funcionando bien, aire acondicionado, agua, electricidad, tv etc. Muy bien ubicado en el centro del pueblo, que aunque es muy pequeño tiene zonas mejores que otras. El unico detalle y que quiza lo entiendo, es que ibamos a la boda de un amigo y el grupo de amigos en el que ibamos teniamos reservadas 4 de las 6 habitaciones del hotel ... y como estabamos en la fiesta nos estaban hablando a todos para que "aseguraramos" llegar o algo asi se sintio algo insitente y molesto. Tambien que solo iba haber recepcion hasta las 10:00pm.... y tuvimos que salir de la fiesta para ir a hacer checkin. Fuera de esos detalles es una buena opcion en Comala, si quieres la paz y la tranquilidad de varios dias. Si piensas ir solo por un dia a conocer el pueblo o de fin de semana tambien puedes quedarte en uno de los muchos hoteles de Colima (que esta realmente cerca como a 10min) y aunque ciudad, tambien es tranquila y bonita. Y quiza obtengas mejor servicio por el mismo dinero.

Very kind owners who speak perfect English, if needed. Beautiful little property with a nice common area next to all the rooms. The room was fairly simple, but it was comfortable enough and had a very well-done bathroom. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the main plaza, which I didn't find to be bad.

Had a at home atmosphere with a nice decor of art, pictures and furniture. Beautiful courtyard and is Pet friendly.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying at Casa Alvarada. Very traditional home with a lot of character. It's only a few minutes away from the city. Comala is a beautiful place to stay in. And, we did one of their tours and it was amazing.
