Hotel Kavia Premium

Getting to the hotel was easy and Check in was fine. Our issue began the following day when we didn’t have hot water to shower, the power went out completely and my sister in laws pajamas and nephews shirt went missing. We reported it and asked if it maybe had been taken with the linens during the outage and they said laundry was made through third party and would have to wait for them to check if they took it with the sheets . So we waited them to call which they didn’t do so we called and they said it was not found and they couldn’t do anything about it. The third day the tshirt was miraculously folded on the chair and yet the pajamas no where to be found. They didn’t want to give us the manager contact and said she was already aware but nothing could be done. Our rooms were not swept at all in 4 days either and her room was never restocked with coffee and just 1 water for 4 people. It wasn’t a great experience overall.

Staff were friendly and helpful. First night room we booked didn't have any windows to the outside. Felt claustrophobic. Person on the desk daid they could move us on the 2nd night, which we did. Much better room. Cleaning staff really only made the bed and left us new towels, didn't wipe down any countertops or floors. Elevator didn't work on tge second or third day. Rooftop swimming pool and area were very nice. Location is excellent.

The staff are good. The room (310) has no windows to the outside, the shower floor is too slippery, hot water takes way too long and it is not really hot, lighting in the bathroom is not nearly enough to shave o apply make up (my wife finished her makeup in the elevator mirror).

I have a great time at Kavia Premium, great location that’s what I like most, good food, room perfect size.

There were minor issues. There was no "Do not disturb" placard to place on the door. The water in the shower was barely warm.There is not a single snack or drinks machine or svending machine.

Excellent service and friendly. No bad smells. No humidity smell. But we did see 2 roaches.

Clean rooms , convenient location and excellent staff at the front desk.

This is hotel is difficult to rate for so many reasons! First the beds were 5 star! Three of us all slept wonderfully! Our room was spacious & we loved the storage areas. There is a large pool on the roof and nice views, but no shade and only 3 chairs & a lounger. After that there are several things that bring it down to a 3 rating: the building is old and stuffy, to cover the smell there are excessive “plug-in air fresheners” everywhere! We unplugged ours in our room as soon as we arrived! Once we opened up the bathroom and let things air out a bit it wasn’t over powering. The bathroom doors shouldn’t be closed up between guests! There was musty smell until we allowed air flow. We were fortunate to get a room with an outside window. This building had a previous life as an office building or other purpose. There are many rooms that have a window to the hallway and I don’t think to the outside. We did not eat at the restaurant. We explored other eateries in the area. The hotel is a great location on popular Paseo de Montejo. Lots of history here, mansions to visit, restaurants to try, very walkable and safe. We have been to Merida before, so this is why we chose this hotel for the location and the discounted price. If you have a car, there is easy access to the parking garage and the elevator. The elevator numbers however are one number different than your floor; another quirk. There are several Kavia brand hotels in Mérida. Would I stay here again? Not sure.

Muy mal, nos dieron una habitación de menor categoría, no nos limpiaron la habitación por ser fechas de diciembre cosa que no es problema del huésped, la habitaciónes no son ventiladas y huelen mal, nunca hubo agua caliente lo reportamos y me dijeron que era normal, el parqueadero no cuenta con seguridad.

La ropa de cama estaba algo sucia en mal lavada, eso opaca lo bueno que pueda estar todo lo demás. El staff muy amable y la ubicación perfecta.
