Hotel Mayari Holbox

Upon entering the building the smell of sewage is strong. There are no lobby bathrooms. The one common bathroom is on the rooftop and is not serviced. Our room was in poor condition. The AC did not function properly and did not maintain temperature. The TV did not function properly and would not operate. The interior bathroom light did not work well as it was too dim to see in the mirror. There was not hand soap in the bathroom. Bathrooms are not connected to a window nor do they have a fan. I think that is why the building and rooms smell so bad. The screen door to balcony was torn and not functioning so with the AC not working we could not keep the door open to allow fresh air in without mosquitos coming in. We were there over a holiday weekend and they drastically increased their rate and it was definitely not worth the price. Maybe worth about 40$/night. No breakfast included. No water filling opportunities. Get used to dogs barking on the streets and 4 wheelers ripping around fast on the island. The bed was ok but only one thin sheet was provided. The beach is cool to walk along on the island though.

This property is very well kept. The staff is constantly attentive to their guests and offer a list of activities that you can schedule through them with the option to either pay cash or with cc. Very nice property overall.

There was no running water for a day. Very unfortunate

Me cancelaron el hotel que ya tenía reservado y qué bueno porque encontré este por el mismo precio y mucho mejor. La habitación super amplia, regadera con muy buena presión y agua caliente. La playa está a 10 minutos caminando. Todo muy bien.

No warm water, hard as a stone bed, not even a blanket. No towels in the room at 8 pm. Very noisy hotel. Been in Holbox 3 times. There are better hotels with the same price.

Is a small hotel very pretty , stuff is nice and helpful, A lovely rooftop pool and the rooms are pretty spacious…

It was fine for the price

There was no towels inside the room. it was a glass of soda inside the washroom, so I am not sure if the place was clean. The drain of the shower was clogged, and also it looks that someone did the room half of it. And left it as it is. The ac stop working at midnight. There is nobody after 11pm. So nobody can help you. I told them about the towels they brought them the next morning, and also the maintenance guy show up at 11am tk repair the ac.

The hotel was nice. I did not have any towels during my 2 night stay. The pool was out of service. The owner was very nice.

All the bad reviews were right! The front desk guy and girl were so rude and don’t care about customers. The room didn’t have a fridge, no toiletries, AC not working properly and they had NO RUNNING WATER. Toilet, sink, shower had no water for a whole day. No one at the front desk was available to help. Run fast from this place. I left after one night, I was booked for 5 nights but could not stay any longer. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. The hotel is very disappointing. We checked in on Thursday April 20 and had no problem. Friday we got up in the morning and there was no water. We asked the front desk and we were told they were working on it and it would be on in a little while. It was a little inconvenience but we were going to the beach so we left. We came back around 5:00 and wanted to shower before we went to dinner. Went to our room and still no water. We were a little upset but we're assured the water would be on soon. Long story short, the water never came back on. We realized too late that the water would not be on so it was too late to move somewhere else. The toilet didn't flush we couldn't was even our hands. Needless to say, this is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. We are on a bus right now and we feel, look and smell disgusting. I want a refund because it's very unsanitary and something no one wants to deal with on vacation.

It’s so close to the ferry and super easy to go to everywhere just walking. I didn’t use bike or club car.
