Old building but clean and excellent service. The location is pretty close to the main square, Cathedral, restaurants, shopping, etc. The only complaints would be that the shower floods a little bit and that the TV speakers were faulty.

Nice small older hotel. Rooms around a small courtyard. Gabby at front desk was kind and helpful, cleaning staff as well. Room was simple, sparse, clean and large, comfy firm bed, quiet (thick old walls) and a/c worked well. 2 blocks from the center. No restaurant on site but they gave me a ticket for breakfast at a nice sister hotel around the corner. Pool is nice but cold in January! Not ideal for young kids. No wifi TV, but lots of channels. I will return.

They advertise as parking included, when you check in they ask you what kind of a vehicle you have, if it is a SUV they will only cover the cost from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. The hotel is outdated.

I have stayed at Hotel Montejo on several occasions (4-5 times) over the last 10-12 years. This last time, we (my adult son and I) stayed in two separate rooms. It's charming, nice and quiet. It's downtown (two blocks from the main square), yet it is not super busy. I like the colonial architecture, the courtyard and the fountain. The artificial lighting in the rooms and in the bathrooms is deficient. The water pressure is low in the bathroom sinks. The beds are comfortable. There is no coffee or coffee maker available in the premises. They converted the former hotel restaurant into a clothing store. Because of this I will not be staying there again.

The location is great but the room we stayed in was next to the fountain and it was very noisy -they were painting the building and the other guest were noisy as we were on the first floor. It is in a good location downtown but will not stay here again.

The room did not feel secure. Upon check in I was given a number of warnings and potential penalties if rules were not followed. This made me concerned about the hotel and conduct of guests and management.

The day manager was excellent the night manager was inefficient. We had an issue Where the top of the barn door lock had come off and it was a safety issue he told us it couldn't be fixed until the next morning. I had to get a stone and hammer the lock back on the door,it made sleeping difficult. As anyone with a little effort could push it open and have access to the room.
