Pros: great location, very clean and good maid service, beds were comfortable, nice bedding. Cons: Very noisy, No soundproofing. Could hear everything outside the rooms. Small rooms with limited furniture, i.e. no bedside table in one room and no luggage rack in another. Rooftop restaurant closed too early.

I recently stayed at Hotel Principal in Mexico City, and overall, the hotel is beautiful and perfectly located in the heart of downtown, making it very convenient for exploring the city. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. During check-in, the front desk agent was very serious and not welcoming. We were not given any information about the hotel amenities, restaurant, or breakfast, just asked to sign some papers and handed the room key. Additionally, the televisions in our room were not fully functional, as neither remote control worked properly beyond turning the TVs on and off. On our last day, we also had an uncomfortable experience with a housekeeping staff member. When my mother politely asked for a couple of bottles of water, the staff member responded with a poor attitude. Before giving us the bottles, she reported the number of bottles over her radio and asked for our room number to document it, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. While the location and appearance of the hotel are great, the service experience could definitely be improved.

100% Value for money. Simplicity but at the same time functional. Great location, clean and cherful. A bit small but undestandable given what we paid for a night.

The bathroom is so small. Also, the walls and doors are so thin that you can hear everything from any of the rooms.

Was just here with a reservation of three nights. They only took a deposit which I was charged the day before my fist night. I was surprised I didn’t get the option to just pay my whole reservation in advance. Be careful, even with an unpaid reservation done in advance, they will try to charge you a different fee, in my case I was getting charged double the amount for the unpaid balance. During the reservation process, it only gave me the option to pay a deposit and to pay the rest at the hotel. Since I’m bilingual, I was able to talk to them and made them honor the fee on the unpaid reservation. Seems like they are trying to take advantage of the tourists. Be careful and look for another place around, there are plenty of hotels to chose from. Not to mention the rooms were very small. Just a very basic room.

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Excellent staff and location. I would stay here again. A good value for the price.

Normal but no coffee maker

I had a good time there with my family.

My room was not cleaned well, the shower water didn’t have a lot pressure, the water kept coming and going . Was very frustrated with it. It was a loud hotel. You could hear open the doors and screams of the kids in the night. Some of the staff was nice but some were rude when I complained about the noise and asked to be moved . The only staff nicer Juan from reception he was super nice!

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Great location. Only the food was not so great. Cold. Otherwise, excellent stay!
